I've watched a few of Coach Fickell's press conferences.

There is an issue that has been going on for years with the UC press conferences. You cannot hear the questions being asked.

Of course you can pretty much determine what as was asked but it would be nice if you could hear the questions.

I've watched some opponent coach press conferences, including the coach at Indiana this week. They don't have this problem.

Why is this difficult for UC?

Your question is a good one and it needs to be addressed. In the past, I thought a microphone was just passed around among the press pool attending. Decades ago, no one heard or saw the press conferences and we took the reporters quotes from the coaches as gospel. In 2022, we want to here the question and the answer and if IU can do it, what's up with UC?

It's always been a problems except the COVID year, when all of the questions were virtual.

I don't get it. I still think they pass the mic around but its not transferring through what we watch. It has to be an easy fix. Makes no sense and I rarely listen to them in detail for that reason. Side Note: Briggs being asked about Corleone's Skyline order was gold.

I prefer the radio show to the press conference for that specific reason.

They need to fix it. I know one or two years ago someone on here said that if they got a boom mic that would fix it. Sometimes we can hear it most the times we can’t. Why don’t all of us email them. I will try to email them tonight.

For the average person it doesn’t matter. For crazy nuts like us who yearn for every little detail, it takes away the enjoyment and info we get from of listening to the press conference.

Or, they could have a moderator repeat the question. This would allow it to be heard on the broadcast and give Coach a minute to formulate his answer.

It seems that people are listening to what's being said on this board.

Yes I heard some of his press conference and I could hear the questions.

CLF was pretty funny about it... he started the presser by mentioning the issue and that he threw "Zach" under the bus about it on the radio show and that if it didn't work in the presser he would throw him under the bus again. Lots of smiles about it and laughter.

In yesterday's press conference, you could hear the questions about half the time. I guess they need a full time IT person there.
