ODU gives SBC East a 2-0 lead against the West. Troy still leads 10-7 3:20 in the 3rd.

Can't wait for October 20th.

EDIT - Dummie, South @ Troy isn't a cross-divisional game.

Troy gives the West its first win of the season 16-7 over Marshall!

Also the home team is 3-0 in cross over games.

Trend continues with the home team now 4-0 in cross-divisional play. In the only game this week JMU overcame a slower start to thump Texas State and the East improves to 3-1 on the season. 2 of those wins are by 4 points or less showing the West has closed the game but needs to get the W's.

If the East goes 3-0 this Saturday (which is very possible) then that'll pretty much wrap up Eastern supremacy in the inaugural Super Sun Belt.

All three SBC East teams are double digit favorites this week. Certainly not very favorable matchups for the West with a combined 12-2 from the East(both losses very quality losses from 3-2 App State) and all three West teams sitting at 2-3. But they've gotta play the games! If a Sun Belt team can lose to Charlotte then anything can happen right?!

Updated from this past Saturday! At the halfway point for cross-divisional games The East leads 5-2 but with some solid matchups still on the schedule I think the West could close that gap. Here's hoping the West goes 7-0 on the back half

Also congrats on Coastal and JMU for being the first 2 to win an away game in the cross-divisional series.

Matchups matter here too when looking at straight W/L

Yeah definitely, and I think the west ends up with fewer favorable matchups this year cause of more drop off from the top to the middle of the divisions. I'd say the east has a fairly clear top 2(Coastal/JMU), middle 2(App/Marshall) and bottom 3 right now. While the west has more of a clear top 2(South/Troy) and then more drop off and less clear grouping on the other 5. East top 2 is 3-0 vs west bottom 5 but west top 2 is 1-1 vs east middle 2 due to a miracle hail mary.

It'll be really exciting to see how the championship game goes when we finally get top vs top... Although barring a very unlikely waiver I'll be hoping it's west 1 vs east 2!

I can't remember. Is JMU allowed to play in the Championship Game or not?

No. Unlikely to change, but JMU is apparently fighting for getting an exception for being bowl eligible. So on the long shot that works out then probably safe to assume we'd become eligible for the CCG as well.

We won't hear anything until late November, if at all...gonna make for a tense last two weeks and awesome final game match with CC (and off the charts if we are both somehow undefeated or on-loss)

Hesitant to talk that smack, because Marshall will probably turn around and beat JMU at homecoming in Harrisonburg next week.
