RE: Plenty of Fun Belt in this week’s Bottom 10
Man, the poor MAC just ripped to shreds in Ball State's #8 ranking 03-lmfao

"The House of Cards hosts the Northern Ill-ugh-noise Other Huskies in another clash of 1-3 #MACtion squads, this time in the West. If Ball State were to lose, it would move on to meet another current 1-3 MAC team in Central Michigan, followed by another set of Huskies in UConn on Oct. 15, followed by Bottom 10 Waiting List member Eastern Michigan and then State of Kent, also currently 1-3. Aw, who are we kidding? No one can keep up with all of this. So, until we tell you otherwise, just assume that any MAC team you see right now is 1-3 because eight of its dozen teams are, and the other four are 2-2."

The MAC is seriously garbage.

Losing to a MAC team outside of 1 or 2 of them in any given year is almost as bad as an FCS loss.

RE: Plenty of Fun Belt in this week’s Bottom 10
Not to beat this dead horse, but App State was in legitimate jeopardy of being ranked just because of the way the JMU game unfolded. (For the record, I think App is WAY more top 25 than bottom 10.) Because the whole thing is satire, you can get ranked for anything, and not just sucking. Ga. Tech made it because they fired the AD and the coach before the end of September.

BUT…the author is a native Tarheel, and short of his disdain for Charlotte and maybe ECU on occasion, he’s fairly nice to the NC schools.

I'm pretty sure he's from Traveler's Rest, South Carolina, which is 20-25 minutes from the NC border, but still.

My favorite nick name (and this is what they do best) was "Other, other Aggies" :)

ESPN says he's from Rockingham, NC, but you're right. We're splitting hairs.

Pillow Fight of the Week of the Year of the Century is pretty good too. It usually involves a MAC team. "Charlotte 1-and-3'ers" (insert current record) is a favorite.

I think he's used "Southern Missed" before. And of course "Georgia (State not Southern) University" and vice-versa.

RE: Plenty of Fun Belt in this week’s Bottom 10
My favorite names when Steve Harvey first started The Bottom Ten were “Old Southern Miss State” when all the Big three in Mississippi were awful one year, and “Minnehaha” for Minnesota of course. There also used to be a radio show called Leonard’s Losers, by Leonard Post Toasties, where he would pick losers, of course, instead of winners, and each had a cute story to with them. Here’s a oldie from 1992…

I think people realize JMU is an actually good team and you're not just another upstart FBS program, so they gave us a break.

Overall no teams in the bottom 10 I say is a win.

Thank you for the kind words and I agree. But the Bottom 10 is satire, and the author likes to mention App State because of your crazy season thus far. It was the kind of game that gets a team ranked for a week, but not more than that. That’s reserved for the truly godawful programs and things like Liberty playing a home and home in the same season.
