Maybe, especially if the downtown game alternate years becomes a "neutral site" meaning UC can market and sell tickets unfettered for half the stadium. Seems to me from some chatter in recent days that Miami may have suppressed ticket sales to reduce stadium overhead expenditures or UC crowd domination or both.

No doubt about it in my mind.

UC allotment was sold early and me and my fam bought club ticks for $65 a pop close to a month before the game. Their club was at least 50/50 UC fans and I’d even go over.

Week of most tickets we’re going for $70-200 on 3rd party. My group of friends 7 UC season tickets (2 UC alumni) said no chance in hell they are paying $70-$100 to go watch a beat down they have little interest in the actual rivalry. I didn’t blame them one bit.

33ish k attendance is a joke. F Miami!

Schedule whatever is viewed as most profitable IMO. I’d assume that’s Miami but maybe it’s Ohio u or someone else. Maybe I’m missing some points altogether ?

As far as fcs opponents I thought Dayton recently became fcs. They seem like the perfect matchup for our buy game.

Would love to play Dayton as they lead the series 17-15-1

So if we played them 3 times, we could regain the I-75 Trophy.

How about a 1-1 but all of Miami's games are at Nippert?

If it is not Miami, I do not want a MAC replacement. However, I would like to replace Miami with Marshall. They won’t agree to a 3-1 and even a 2-1 is doubtful, but the drive is less than 3 hours (an easy one at that), their fans travel, and they will have competitive seasons.

I think it’s the best G5 choice within a close distance.

If we are going to play a MAC school, they would be taking up our only G5 spot for the season. With tickets now demanding $80/seat just to get in the gate, it would be better for UC to buy games against local MAC schools rather than going to their stadium.
Does it? Granted they are the outlaws right now, but UT and OU don't. Is it just the fact that everybody wants that one cupcake as a warmup?

If it isn't mandated in the bylaws, Miami, Ohio, Toledo could always be the warmup game.

I really like that suggestion. If we are going to do an FCS "buy" game we might as well send that money to a local school.

Probably could have got tickets through Miami. The money was all split, so it really did not matter who you bought tickets from.

The problem with Dayton (and Butler) is that their team is in the non-scholarship Pioneer League.

It's not really fair for UC to be playing a non-scholarship team. It also might impact bowl eligibility.

That's what me and my family did. I don't think my friends wanted to sit on Miami side or deal with them.

Based on this, it appears we need games with Bowling Green and Central Mich and Buffalo. Looks like that should take care of at least the next 8 years

I did not realize that, explains why we don't play them.
