Notre Dames kept that high school feller around just to honor his contract because they want to do right

You are, of course, referring to the Sunbelt Conference whose teams had wins over #8 Notre Dame, #6 Texas A&M and Nebraska last week....that Sunbelt??

Notre Dame and A&M are overrated this year.. Nebraska isn't even close to the top 25.
The Irish will prolly let their coach go of they have a rotten season, as I suspect they will.

After one year?

1st Irish coach ever to lose his first 3 games. Barely beat California at home.

Notre Dame is going to fire this guy after one season?

If he wins 2 or 3 games...maybe.
I dunno.
It's a school that feels like they belong with the elite, and going 2-11 or 3-9 would hurt their profile.

Still hard to gauge ND at this point. They are clearly not a top 10 team this year, duh. That loss to Marshall was one of the biggest stunners in ND history. The other 2 games are close to what I expect from them, they just looked a little weaker on offense than in recent years.

It would not surprise me if they still win 8-9 games, but if the Marshall game was who they really are its a 4-6 win season.

Yeah, game 3 and we're still not tight. Too many holes. I've watched Houston vs. TX Tech and vs. Kansas, and yeah, they cooged it, but they look like a lot more solid football team than us. Of course we can bring it together over the course of playing games and look a lot better later on. Hopefully getting game experience with the new coordinators will speed things up for the guys, and get the coord's dialed in.

Maybe it's frustration for me, but they sure man-handled us on that goal line play, and yes Preiskorn was pretty open on a couple of receptions, but not all alone in half the width of the field like they were several times (TE and RB out of the backfield).

I'll "one up" you and say 7-8 wins.

We aren't doing a good job of covering those guys.

7-8 wins is definitely doable. The defense looks worse than those infamous Chris Ball defensive's we had a few years back so far. Same 3 man front and everything. Hopefully we can make in season adjustments. A bye week would serve us well.

App is charmed that is for sure. Right now they have the inside trac for NY6 game. Pretty nice Game Day at their place yesterday morning.

No they don't. The season is only 3 weeks old.

Do you have difficulty understanding right now? The NY6 spot is far from determined, but RIGHT NOW App has the lead on the invitation. Just like right now the Tigers have the lead to win the AAC, since they are the only program with a conference victory this year. Right now AppSt is one of 2 G5 Sun Belt programs with a road victory against a top ten P5 program, and App is the highest rated of those two and it is also the highest rated G5 team at 22. Cincinnati is ranked 25.

I guess espn is ignorant too. They listed the top 33 unbeaten teams and have Coastal Carolina, James Madison and Tulane ahead of App State. Sorry for your loss.

It's not where teams are right now that matters.
It's where they are 9 games from now...
