Since everyone posts that the DeKalb Walmart has a bunch of NIU stuff. I stopped by to see for myself. It is indeed a mecca of pretty decent NIU selection.

I didn't take pictures of everything but below is some of it:

Nice! And organized!!! Last year was empty shelves and what little they had the crap was all over.

It was starting to get disorganized when I was there, at least the t-shirts. Couldn't find my size, bummer. But I appreciate the selection of NIU stuff.

Looks way better than when I was a student. Looks like they saw the opportunity that the VCB left behind and seized that marketshare with the HSC....

I want one of those NIU "Jethro Bodine-style" cereal bowls in the second to last picture.

I was actually in downtown DeKalb today (non-game related visit) and stepped into Chilton's just to see what they had.

IMO, if you're thinking of doing the same...don't waste your time. They have a few items with mostly the same screen print that basically looks like a cheap knockoff.

They do, however, have some pretty cool DeKalb Barbs gear and I actually considered buying one of the sweatshirts just because I liked the logo.

Bizarre Chiltons doesn't have a way better selection of NIU stuff. Very cool Walmart is treating us like a real brand.

The NIU bookstore tries and does what it can, I guess. There were a few decent things on the west side, and the bookstore had a tent across from the HAF tent. Our friends bought a hat and I bought a jacket. At least some different things than what VCB sold.

Yes, a pair of stained boxer shorts in my size (5XL). But, I didn’t buy them because they were wrinkled.

I don’t buy stuff made in China.

Yep, and the boxers were priced at the designer price of $119.95. (Unstained ones were available to order for a mere $9.95.) I would have bought them, but then I’d have to have STF press them. I’m very finicky just like the new King Charles. He has his staff iron his shoe laces.

Yea, good point. It's practically single-use merchandise anyway since it will probably fall apart within a month.

The Russel stuff is actually pretty nice, for me anyway they fit right and hold up pretty good and hold up great and is less than half the price of equivalent Adidas/UA/Nike. Slap an NIU logo on it and it just makes it even better for me.
