The Russel stuff is actually pretty nice, for me anyway they fit right and hold up pretty good and hold up great and is less than half the price of equivalent Adidas/UA/Nike. Slap an NIU logo on it and it just makes it even better for me.

Very true. I have been buying Russell shirts for years (VCB carried them), and they all held up very well.

The car flags are made in Skokie, Illinois. The Russell polos made in Bangladesh. The beverage coozies are made in Winona, Minnesota. The NIU low-ankle socks are made in Advance, North Carolina.

I'm surprised they don't sell official NIU brand urinal troughs.

I prefer the Toledo urinal cakes. Makes the urination so much more satisfying. I also love the Toledo toilet paper. I make sure it's well used.

I fully support anything from Winona, Minnesota.

And Russell shirts were greatness in the 90s. One of my old faves.

Its so disheartening and embarrassing that there is nowhere to get decent gear. I do a lot of work with other universities and simply shake my head at the availability of nice gear at their schools.

Yes. For well over 50 years, NIU has maintained a stranglehold on the logo. There has been very little unique and exciting. I have complained about this for years. I see what other schools are offering and what is sold by online retailers, and my mouth drools. Maybe it's just that NIU does not like to make money.
