For the last 9 months our staff has been hearing rumors that UINDY will be going D1 in the 23-24 season. Guess what league? The OVC. UINDY has football and that was the selling point. Paul Corsaro can coach is ass off. He will win BiG in the OVC. This is a done deal!!

To be perfectly clear, we're just parroting what's floating around. They vote on going D1 on Sept. 30th as we understand it. And always the chance that if Indianapolis votes no, they just leave the GLVC for the GMAC or such.

That said, does seem likely they're heading to the OVC

They play football.

UIndy AD resigned last week, had been at the school for 28 years. They have a Board meeting on Sept 30th that the rumors were they were supposed to be voting to go D1 or stay at D2 at that meeting - now the AD resigns 10 days prior to it.

I thought for sure I knew how they were going to vote. Now I'm not so sure.

Have you heard how the vote went?

They took no action, officially, which means they didn't vote either way. I'm betting that means there wasn't a unanimous consensus amongst their Board leadership. Cannot find any mention on whether they will bring it up at the next meeting, etc - they are a private school so their records for these kinds of things are much harder to find.
