So much for Northwestern doing well in even years.

If you throw out the pandemic year, NW is 5-20 since 2019. I expect this year to be more like 2019 and 2021 than 2020 (or 2018). Is this the new Northwestern? Pat Fitzgerald is actually 65-68 in his career vs. the Big Ten, I thought that would be higher. Obviously his teams won 2 Big Ten West titles since 2018 although one was during the pandemic year. As an Illini, I would love to see Fitzgerald get fired because they're not likely to get anyone better than him there and they'll likely be a Big Ten basement team after he goes.

Northwestern and Nebraska are going to do their best this year to prove they don't belong in the Big Ten. And they'll both still beat Illinois. But at least we have a men's basketball team!

Nebraska: disgusting! Congrats Oklahoma!

Northwestern: see Nebraska ^ Congrats Southern Illinois!

Ohio State: expected

Michigan: expected, but your schedule has sucked.

Purdue: had that game won. Congrats Syracuse!

Indiana: it's a win, I guess?

Rutgers: what I said about Indiana.

Penn State: Team of the weekend. Well done!

Minnesota: 2nd team of the weekend. Well done!

Wisconsin: expected

Michigan State: horrible defense. Congrats Washington!

Iowa: your offense still sucks!

Maryland: defense better improve.
