UNC is actually 3-0. This weekend is huge for NC State.

I think it's one of the signs of the apocalypse.

UNC and State played each other the first or second week of the season for most of the 1950's and into the 1960's. Structurally it would not have been possible for the Big 4 to be 8-0 collectively until the late 1960s or early 70's.

The first chance would not have been until 1971, then in 72, 77, 79. By the 80's it was impossible only in 1988.

NC State used to open with UNC and WF most years after WWII. Only Duke and UNC played at the end of the regular season.

Just because a thing is not impossible doesn't mean that it will happen.

Given the fact that UNC is already 3-0 and idle this week, that's really pessimistic.

It's time to change the thread title to 3-0 so we don't need to start a new thread for one more week. WFU has Clemson, NC State has UConn and UNC has Notre Dame, all at home. Only Duke has to travel, taking on unbeaten powerhouse Kansas in Week 4.
