RE: Rice vs. Louisiana
And the Rice defense holds. Didn't see who that DB was, but I'm pretty sure he ended up covering two Louisiana WR/TEs. Somehow the Louisiana QB threw it short of them both.

What??? Where is that in the rule book? Do the Owls have that version of the rules?

To be fair to McMahon, he looks completely fine (even good) when his first read is open. But looks panicked in the pocket otherwise.

TD Owls. Great drive. And good composure on the TD by McMahon. Semi-busted play with Broussard going left and McMahon running the PA right, but got his feet under him and made a really good touch throw.

Nice!! McMahon looked left before throwing the TD pass to McCaffrey on the right sideline.

Rice up 10-7 ... 5:20 left in 1H.

Well, that’s not good. Defense can’t be expected to play according to your plan.

But then calls a really bad play in that situation.

Second time the DL has jumped (plus PI on this one). Only negative for the defense so far.

RE: Rice vs. Louisiana
Another really good defensive series. 1st down on a PI but nothing else. DLine getting pressure and stopping the run well. Have to assume the secondary is playing well because their QB is scanning the field on passing downs like there isn't anything there.

RE: Rice vs. Louisiana
Excellent defensive pressure by the Owls DL and blitzers.

But a big LA punt gives us the ball deep in our territory with ~3 min left in the half.

Let's get some points before halftime! And also on the opening drive of 3Q.

If players on defense want to transfer, I really can’t blame them.
