2. Appy State (Very Impressed)
3. Marshall (Wow. way to beat ND)
4. UTSA (Lookin' Good on the way out of CUSA)
5. Coastal Carolina (One Helluva Coach and near a Beach)
6. UCF (Biggest undergrad student Body in the South)
7. ULL (Cajuns are Ragin)
8. East Carolina (Are the Pirates actually decent this year?)
9. Liberty (But Malik Willis is with the Titans. H'mmm?)
10. Memphis (Elvis must still be in the building)
11. Old Dominion (So, while in CUSA you sucked; but Now?)
12. Tulsa (What the Hell is a Golden Hurricane?)
13 SDSU (Guess when they join the PAC they wont be a Non-Cartel program)

Tulsa loss to Wyoming who's not on the list and beat a FCS by 7
SDSA beat a fcs and loss by 18 at home to Arizona
Liberty at #8...this is not last years Liberty team and they are very lucky to not be 0-2 right now

There's a few others I have a problem with Central Michigan is 0-2 loss by 2 TD to S. Al. and Northern Illinois struggled vs FCS and loss to Tulsa. If someone asked me I would say even Western but after looking at that list at least they are 2-0 with a road FBS win.

Regarding this is not last year's Liberty team. Yes, I know they lost Malik Willis and that is a huge loss. Kaidon Salter is not a bad replacement. The defensive line is deeper and better. The linebackers are better, and I think even the secondary is better. They got 3 or 4 transfers on the offensive line after the line was putrid last year. So I am not sure as a whole, Liberty is really worse than last year. Even at WR they have at least more depth.

Tulane is legit. I know, it sounds odd but after watching them brat Kansas St, they are a really good team.

They must pull these rankings out of their rear end. There’s no way that the Beach Chickens are a #5 team. Look at the teams that they’ve struggled to beat. I think the Beach Chickens would even tell you that they’re not that good this year.

This is probably the most ridiculous rankings I have seen this year, hilarious actually.

I think Louisiana fell out too. I think Rice is on the cusp, but we will see if the performance against Louisiana was a fluke or not at a UH team suddenly playing without much confidence.

Really don't know whether it is computer generated or one or more sportswriters at CBS who do their weekly 131 CBS ranking. But you can bet that they don't spend a helluva lot of time or attention on ranking any of the folks that are not in the Cartel 5. We are all afterthoughts in a filler column.

South Alabama is not a garbage team this year. They beat Central Michigan handily who is a good MAC team and their new HC made a boneheaded call to lose them the UCLA game. On the face of it, they have a better "resume" than UAB to this point, although UAB could very well be the better team.

you know this intern is just looking at hte results and going from there and not doing any indepth analysis.
