I'm of the opinion that while UC's Big East move and drastic improvement as a football program since then is a major factor in where the series stands today, ultimately Miami blew it. Even as UC has become much better on the field since the Kelly era, it would've been mostly competitive since 2006 if we were still a winning program with a few great seasons like we've been through most of our program's history. Yeah, Big Ben beat Cincinnati in the three seasons he was under center [2001-2003]. That 2003 season he threw for 4,500 yards and 37 TDs against 10 interceptions. Miami lost the next year but won the following [2005]. It's been 15 losses in a row since and should be 16 in a row after tomorrow.

The 2003 game still irks me. Uc was down 25 with like 13 minutes to go and came almost all the way back and were getting the ball with a chance to win. I was 100% Gino was going to finish it and we muffed the damn punt.

The last Miami roster to have anyone on it that actually touched the Victory Bell has a bunch of guys who are currently planning their own 40th birthday parties.

The slants were Sheppard..saw what Arkansas did on the RPO and realized his first step in coverage is always back. Slant will be there all day on him, and Bush ain't Coby/Suace on an island deep either. Oh well, rivalry game, gotta button down and impose our will.
