Thanks for that information. Yes it does paint that very fact of what you said, that it could have been used to give various teams an edge. Eastern a twenty point underdog, obviously would come under suspicion.

I saw this article as well, but at this point we have very little information about what was leaked, how it was leaked, and who it was leaked to. Hopefully more details will emerge.

If it was "ASU's 3rd string LB will be out with injury this Saturday".... that really won't make a huge difference.

Also, if true, what a sad state of affairs out in Tempe... If multiple people wanted the coach fired that badly, maybe that's some info you should share with the university administration and media before taking the step of leaking.

The EMU media relations office is amongst the best in the MAC year in and year out, so I am curious as to where your gripe is. Personally, I can wait until Monday to get a video when it's as well done as they've been this season. Coach's press conference was posted on YouTube today, albeit a little later than usual (but I suppose there was something else that took precedence today).

Bob has a legitimate point, EMU is indeed under-reported. MLive is all about the Broncos, CMU has the Morning Sun and Toledo has the Blade. We have no such dedicated news sources and subsequently the ONLY EMU news you see nationally is when we have dramatic issues like a faculty strike, campus rape allegations or our prized MBB recruit arrested.

A win over ASU really is negligible to the local dominant news sources in our area, the Detroit News and the Free Press. That is the price we pay for geography. The Lions first, U-M second, MSU third and then whatever...

The media will come! Yes we have to work harder than other MAC schools but other schools didn’t have our losing trends, etc. Yes we need our own media outlets but how about our on campus communication department at least making post game interviews? The social media has given a voice to all schools….I believe needs to capitalize utilizing YouTube a lot more than we do.
