Exciting win by BYU over Baylor. Equally exciting win by Oregon State in Fresno.

Fun end to the night.

I saw Oregon St. get that 2 pt. conversion to put themselves up 3 with under 2 left 29-26. That was after Fresno missed a FG that would have put them up 8.

Had to look at the box score to see if I mis-remembered the score at 29-26, since the final was 35-32. No. Fresno drove down and scored a TD in less than a minute. Too quick. Oregon to 14 with 3 seconds left-Pass interference. Win on an untimed down.

With KU (+13.5) winning, that is 5 double-digit underdogs winning on the same day. Weird. Don't know when that last happened.

sort of amazing that Kansas isn't one of the 4. So the victims it's Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Wisconsin, and Nebraska.

Some say the SEC never ventures out of their area for OOC games, but yesterday SEC teams traveled to the states of Kansas, Texas, Pennsylvania and Arizona to play P5 teams.

Texas is SEC country now.

MSU at AZ is abnormal. Tennessee going to Pitt too, but it has the Johnny Majors factor.

Reportedly, Nebraska will save about $8 million in buyout money if they wait until October 1st to dump Scott Frost.

But can they hold out that long? Agonizing, lol.

They still have Oklahoma this week and Indiana on October 1, both at home. They can wait that long. But October 1 seems like a strange date to put into a contract. What's that all about?

Nebraska has Oklahoma next week and their bye week the following week before a home game with Indiana on ... October 1!

If they fire Frost right after the Oklahoma game, the interim coach gets two weeks to prepare. If they fire him right after the Indiana game, exactly on Oct. 1, Nebraska plays October 7, a Friday night game, so he will be working on one fewer day. They could wait until after October 15 to give the new head coach two weeks (they have a bye week October 22).

Good that Quo made the point.

Hypothetically, why would USC playing UNC in Charlotte, NC, mean less because Clemson is located in South Carolina and is an ACC member with UNC?

As to Mississippi State, they are doing home-away 2 game series with a P5 school each year in compliance with conference objectives. In recent years, for example, they had games with Kansas State and NC State. AZ, KSU, and NCSU, looks like compatible scheduling and not bizarre for OOC matchups. Of course scheduling PAC games would be uncommon. They have played the University of Washington prior. MSU’s schedule in difficulty for 2022 is rated very high largely due to in-conference heavyweight opponents.

It always takes two to tango. Doubtful, beyond a very few, that PAC schools have ever called MSU asking about future open dates.

West Virginia should fire Neal Brown, but he has a $19M dollar buyout. Ridiculously high for him.

I think it would have been hilarious if Kansas had been 12.5 point favorites, and they had covered the spread by winning by 13 in overtime.

LSU is playing an FCS team and leads 37-0 in the first quarter.

It's why there no longer should be P5's. Sick of them ducking tough competition and playing 7 and 8 home games every year, plus rigging bowls so that they get top money bowls and pit top G5's against each other.

And being in the top 25 after going 0-2 with one loss against an unranked team.

that's funny, I don't see any top 25 teams that are 0-2.
