Ok, looks like its me and one kid for tomorrow. Is there a paid tailgate that I could take part in? Duke Club do anything? Suggestions?

Ill be with a almost teen girl, who is surly 100% of the time, but I want her to experience some of these things.

Unfortunately, the Duke Club stopped providing the pregame hospitality tent. IMO, if you’re unable to put on your own tailgate the price you paid for that was great.

D-Hall will likely be open. Good food, buffet style. We stopped by before the MTSU game, and it wasn't crowded at all.

Yes, D-Hall has so many choices to pick from you can’t go wrong for dining.

Bigdog, where you parking? Perhaps somebody here is nearby and can invite you in.

I ate in there a couple years ago, nice experience for a young person. You can sit on the side of the stadium and let the excitement of going into the game flourish.

I'm confident that you could stroll any parking lot, pull up to a busy tailgate, and be invited to eat and drink your fill at the average JMU tailgate. I'd invite you to mine but I'll be there late with a 1-year old so the back of my car probably won't be the tailgate you're interested in.

Show her the real college experience, walk around and be amazed by the JMU Hospitality, I am sure you will be invited into many tailgates or just wander in and be welcomed.

Triple amen on this. Walk around P lot or F lot, approach tailgates that look of interest to you, say hello, introduce yourself and more likely than not, good cheer, food and drink will be offered to you. Repeat this process a few times and you'll be fat before game time.

I got a convo parking pass. The d hall idea sounds great. I’ll wander and hope for an invite.

JMU tailgates are very welcoming to all.
