Top two are future B1G and SEC matchups, so that's encouraging for Warren and Sankey

Notre Dame is 2-22 since 1999 against Top 5 (fixed) records per this College Football reporter.

Regardless, the Irish remain a big draw against other brand-name opponents.

04-cheers

That is against top 5 opponents, not top 25.

It is still crappy, just not as crappy. :)

10.5 will likely be a top 5 game for the year. Great kickstart for ABC's Saturday night primetime games.

Solid number for FSU/LSU. Borderline top 10.

ND/OSU was the most watched game on an ABC/ESPN network since 2017.

It was the second most watched Week 1 game on any network, ever.

People will never stop watching football until it's outlawed. But overall ratings are down, there's no denying that. New CFP will make regular season ratings even worse.

I also don't think this would have been a Top 5 game if the NFL had already started. People want their fix and this was their best option.

Maybe where you live, buddy :)

That AIN'T NEVER happening in North Florida, I can most certainly promise you that much

(Good point about no NFL, though ... but strong ratings are strong ratings at the end of the day)

This is primarily said by people living in the northeast, parts of the mid-Atlantic, and far west.

People in the Deep South, Midwest and Southwest/Texas can’t get enough CFB.

Going forward ...

ND-OSU (FOX)
LSU-FSU (Disney)
Oregon-UGA (Disney?) ... not sure if ESPN would need some kind of waiver for this particular "Chic-fil-A Kickoff Classic" matchup
CSU-Michigan (FOX)
PSU-Purdue (FOX)
WVU-Pitt (Disney?)
Utah-UF (Disney)

Oregon may be down, but the B1G needs to take them now IMO.

Wow! Great news for the MWC because they clocked in at #4. This is awesome for them when they gobble up the Pac and Big XII.

actually ND-OSU would be on NBC or CBS. #2 overall selection goes to them based on what they said last week.
