Their new coach, Jay Norvell, brought in 3 new QBs for his air raid offense and I assume had no use for a dual threat type QB (even though he was a starter). They are not exactly lighting up the scoreboard out there in Ft. Collins, averaging 12 points a game this season. Their loss has been our gain.

Norvell is a moron. The CSU admin loves morons and keeps hiring them. How many talented athletes have had their careers die there?

CSU should be prime recruiting ground for Cig.

I don't know about that. Norvell's had a coaching career that's spanned college and NFL teams. He took Nevada, which has the smallest athletics budget in the Mountain West (smaller then JMU's by a significant margin) to 4 straight bowls. CSU made a bad hire in Addazio, but it was bad not only because he was terrible at talent evaluations and at player relationships, but because he had no recruiting pipelines and made little effort to establish them. Norvell has a reputation as a very good recruiter in the region.

The rebuild there will take more than one season. It's not an easy place to recruit to, but they have money and are willing to spend it. I like their chances based on his record a bit more than you do.

Maybe, but people always think a coach controls everything and can turn losers into winners. It's not that simple, and there are a lot of other factors that also contribute to the trajectory of a team. Some past coaches that were seen as successful at JMU have struggled elsewhere.

RE: TC1 for Heisman
I would like to sign a thank you letter written to Todd, and all the players really, for a great year. Can someone write this letter and post it? 04-bow

I felt this way when Vad Lee came here.
