Barstool to be at UT-BG MACTION game
I think Coach K posted this on his Twitter account. He has their season schedule there as well. Is that a AAA version of Game Day? Glad to have them.

RE: Barstool to be at UT-BG MACTION game
I see this game is likely to be permanently moved back to the November time slots on weekday nights. I seem to remember there was an emphasis on moving the game back to mid-October Saturday afternoons/nights for the benefit of the fans. They wanted sellouts on a Saturday in mid-October to get the game day feel back. That didn't last long. Had it on Saturdays in 2016, 2018, 2019 (Oct. 15th, Oct. 6th, and October 12th) - then back to November for "Covid 2020" (which was understandable) then Nov. 10th last year and November 15th this year. Looks like November is back to stay, and play in front of 11,000 in the first half (in Toledo) and about 200 by the 4th Qtr. Those leaving will watch the 2nd half on TV in bed so they can get up for work the next day. Perfect.

RE: Barstool to be at UT-BG MACTION game
Those Nov games had to be tickets sold and not butts in seats. Capacity is 26K and there is no way those games filled more than half the stadium. Trying to remember the 2016 game and being over capacity. They quit with the temporary bleachers because of risk of injury and fire code concerns - so it would have had to be SRO. I remember the crowd being about 10 deep around the bowl above the lower tier when they played Boise State and Kellen Moore. Don't really remember the 2010 game either, but 23K at a Wednesday night game would have meant BG sent a lot. That was the start of the dominance over BG and the year after the last win in a decade when BG won the day after Thanksgiving in an afternoon game at the wind bowl. I still remember freshman Eric Page being held up by a defender as three others pulled at the ball until they got it out after about 3 seconds of trying. I guess a whistle for halted forward progress never crossed the ref's mind.

In any event, the attendance at fall Saturday games is always higher - even with inflated numbers that seem almost assuredly to be tickets sold vs. those attending.

Weren’t they discussing BB?

What I am remembering was definitely for football. Not sure I could find the comments made by O'Brien, but he was gushing about how great that would be for fans' game experience and the traditions of the past.

RE: Barstool to be at UT-BG MACTION game
BGSU game at UT should be homecoming in early/mid October every year held in Glass Bowl- who cares about rotating with other MAC visiting teams, sticking game in November ends up mid week or Friday after Thanksgiving which is terrible

This barstool thing is a big deal or just a thing? What is it, like a college game-day for mid-majors?

so you're wanting to get away from the hi-jack I started and back to the topic?

I haven't seen a Barstool game day streaming event, so I can't really comment on it. Have seen some shows on Youtube involving a podcast of Barstool where they are talking about various games, coaches, players, etc. None of the celebrities and "experts" that ESPN game day uses but rather a group of 4-5 guys (and a gal) that talk about games like normal fans would - and no censor on the language used (a lot of f-bombs). They will be doing the Toledo-BG game from Toledo on Tuesday night 11/15, then going to No. Illinois the next day 11/16 to do the NIU vs. Miami Oh game. Also do some interviews of fans at the game - not done by ESPN. Also going to try to Michigan vs. Mich. St (noon) and Ohio St. vs. Penn State (7pm) on the same day. Probably can make that drive in time if they end at noon then start at 6pm in Happy Valley. Maybe not.

Also involved in betting and giving game betting spreads, O/U, etc. Other than Dave Portnoy - never heard of any of the others on their "staff"

Inky's. If that place ever closes, I would be devastated.

Speaking of pizza off, ive done my Toledo tour and Ginos is right at the top. Mikes and Vitos real close. Mama Marys also a different take on NY style and a real contender. Inkys has a bit of a spice to it. The females didnt like the kick. Once a year i love it!

Stubborn Brother ranked low on the list... still a great bar.

Well we've all heard of National Champion Coach Duggs who brought the title back to Toledo, right? Barstool created him. And now they will be claiming the key to the city from the mayor himself because they won it all with Toledo in the video game NCAA Football.

Side note, I'm always down to talk pizza...Gino's pizza takes the cake in Toledo. Amie's right behind. Mancino's a distant third. And of course have to show love to the hometown national brand Marco's.

Mazza's. Mancino's for subs. Large brand, I agree on Marco's.

Worth the trip to the Point IMO. Coupons in those leaflets that come in the mail, look for those. Opens at 3 since covid, check the hours. His Dad had a shop on the Eastside when I was a kid. He does it proud.
