I'm not good at predicting scores but I predict they get a little more creative on offense. I felt like Hammock didn't want to show too much against EIU. Tulsa is beatable. Their QB can sling it.

Tulsa 45 NIU 35. Tulsa QB can sling it. Better than the good EIU Qb. But the Tulsa QB wont start slow and Tulsa is at home. Hope I'm wrong. But can't get over watching the still very disappointing defense of ours

The EIU game was a little deflating, but I am determined to not let it damper my confidence and positivity that this is going to be a great year. That kind of year would need a win against Tulsa this weekend & I believe we will all be pleasantly surprised at game's end:

Offense is much more diverse and scores pretty much at will.

Defense isn't suddenly lights out overnight, but a more diversified and specific game plan leads to a few forced turnovers and a couple key stops, making it a big improvement against a much better offensive opponent.

NIU is 2 - 8 over the last decade against G5 schools. Until NIU shows it can actually beat another G5 besides UNLV I am going against NIU. The Tulsa QB and passing game are pretty good and the NIU defense looked suspect last week at home against an FCS school. I think this one will be similar to the Wyoming and Coastal games last season with NIU falling late in the Oklahoma heat.

I was looking at just G5 schools so excluded independents. Idaho was an independent when NIU played them.

Hope I am completely wrong, but my confidence in this team will not increase until I see something positive on the field. I am tired about hearing how great we are just from practices before the season starts.

Did they not beat Georgia Tech last year and win the MAC? I get the first game was a bit of a let down but Jesus
