It’s like Kent and BSU collaborated - “hey, let’s do some good marketing and make the facilities on TV look awful”.
BSU and Kent east stands need a makeover similar Miami and NIU.
It’s the unfortunate part of having a lopsided stadium. Usually the cameras and booths are set up on the bigger side shooting out and across showing the much smaller section of stands, as well as away “crowd” which on MACtion weekdays can be counted in the dozens. It’s at those times we hope the production crew does their best to reduce the views of empty seating areas. But hey, as long as ESPN pays us the peanuts to disrupt our scheduling and substantially reducing our attendance so they could air us on tv for the degenerate gamblers that need their daily fix in the fall, then so be it.

6,400 fans isnt going to look good with any angle. Those striped tents are odd. You can put a mesh banner over fencing with KSU branding to mask problem areas. Toledo painted the stone around the field and started hanging those mesh banners behind the home side to really amp up the atmosphere about 9 years ago. Cheap fixes.

Most cameras are also viewing east (I think) to avoid the sun. Since Maction starts at night (and already a little gimmicky), the MAC should consider adding portable/temp camera structures on the east sides, facing west, where at least a thousand gather. The cameras could be remote controlled. Then, direct all fans to sit on the home sides. At least worth a test.
Kent’s stripped tents remind me of “EA Sports NCAA football 2003”.

For most home sides, they are a wind block from the West. Also home sides tend to be taller with presstowers. Ours has a few rows that are covered to protect a few hundred from rain. Getting folks to sit on the homeside isnt a problem because its where they usually sit anyways.
