I wasn't impressed by the #23 team in the Country yesterday.

With McCall gone, we'll see if Chadwell is a good coach after all. Didn't seem like Wilder knew what to do post Heinicke.

I think we would have won with McCall playing, maybe "only" by 20 points. He wasn't going to hang an extra 40 points on our D. It's not just about coaching either, JMU > Coastal.

I understand what the loss of a starting QB means to the team as we saw what happened to us when Centaio was hurt. But we threw a kid out there with limited experience in meaningful action while they rolled 2 QBs in place of him, one playing in his 4th season and the other in his 5th season. If you can’t coach up a 4th or 5th year QB that is on the coach.

Coastal could be in real trouble moving forward. Only time will tell if the beach chickens can compete successfully against the rest of the SBC East Division.

Coastal will be fine as long as Chadwell is there. When he leaves is when I expect a significant downturn for the program. Perhaps this offseason as jobs open in FBS

Yes, Grayson McCall is Coastal Carolina the past handful of seasons. Expect them to drop back off when McCall and/or Chadwell leave town.

Yep. JMU would've still beaten Coastal with McCall in the game. He may have spotted them 2 TDs more than they had, but when you lose by 40... it's time to realize the D is the problem.

At first glance I agree with that, however when we lost TC1 it impacted WAAY more than just offensive production IMO, he was clearly our leader and I think it impacted the entire team. I don't know a ton about CC but am assuming McCall is same for them and him being out puts a damper on the entire team.

Yep and when your offense can barely pick up a first down then every defense is going to wear down and struggle.

They lost to ODU with McCall.

He likely would have made a difference, but not 40 points worth.
