Aranda is a different cat, and he's not only allowed to be himself at Baylor, he's embraced there. Aranda and all of his eccentricities are beloved in Waco, and I think he appreciates that.

I'll never say never, but I don't think Aranda passed up interest at programs like LSU and USC last offseason and signed a long-term extension at Baylor to take a job at Nebraska or Auburn next year.

I think he knows that he can build something really special in Waco without having to hide who he is or sacrifice what he values. And I think those things are much more important to him than they are to most football coaches.

I don't really see Aranda going anywhere unless the Big 12 truly becomes maligned and our champ is getting left out of the playoff. He's got a great set up at Baylor.

If he does leave, it won't be for Auburn. It'll be for a legit blue blood program that has everything in place to be dominant but just needs the right coach...arguably something like Penn State perhaps. But even then, I'm not sure he's leaving.
no chance of that happening now.

Yeah, even less reason to leave with the playoff expansion news. Definitely strengthens my belief that he's not going anywhere unless it's to a true blue blood program (Saban replacement?).

The B12 must be intentional in making sure its programs don’t become training grounds ripe for poaching by super conference. The hope would be for Baylor to tie Aranda up for as long as he wants to coach there.

Luke not leaving for 10 years unless OSU opens. His wife Amy has said so!

Baylor has already done its part in this. He just signed an extension through 2029.

Like any other college football coach, Aranda can and will leave if he really wants to, but it won't be because Baylor hasn't done everything in its power to make him comfortable and take care of him financially.

Fortunately, I think he stays in Waco for a while. I could be wrong, but I think there are a lot of aspects of his personality and coaching philosophy that wouldn't fit in/work as well at a blue blood program as they do at Baylor. And I think he understands that.

Amanda will not get the AL job. Dabo will move from Clemson.

Baylor will not let him go easily. He has already gotten a new contract and a big bump for his assistants. There are about 5 different NIL outlets being developed. He has a new facility coming on line in 2024, https://www.baylor.edu/givelight/index.php?id=984585

Baylor will pay to keep him.
the 12 team playoff makes the Big 12 an even more attractive home.

He fits a Baylor and by his own words knows he doesn't fit at the Big State Schools.

Why do people start this **** one game into the season? Not every coach is looking for the next big job.
