Well, it's game week. I didn't even realize it till a bit ago. I haven't paid near as much attention as I used to. The money has hurt college football to me.

We have over a month till Fall. I say we push football season back. It's too hot to enjoy. Don't ask me how they practice.

I don't know if we're going to get rolled by Liberty or if we have a good chance to win.

We have to be better than last season but I've been wrong before. Anybody have any insight?

Me either. It's definitely a good test right out of the gate. Would love to see the OL not completely suck as they have for years it seems.

I just don't think last season gives any indication to this year's team due to all the injuries, so I think offensively things are still a big mystery.

I couldn't tell anyone anything about Liberty other than Hugh Freeze is their head coach and for all his faults, is pretty good one.

I think we can win this game. Our defense will be too strong to get blown out this season and should keep us in every game. Offense is the big question mark.

Everything pivots off of O-line play. If it's not better, we will have just as many injuries this year and another dismal season. That said, I have a feeling it will better. Praying its better.

I'm giving this team a chance thanks to all the players acquired through the transfer portal. Most of which are linemen on both sides of the ball which was desperately needed. While it makes sense that all of these players will have a huge impact in the trenches, we won't know for sure until Saturday. Liberty still has a good team and they are accustomed to winning, so Southern Miss needs to come out and make a statement.

Through the first 4 games:

Liberty
@ Miami
NW State
@ Tulane

I can see us going anywhere from 1-3 to 3-1 through the first 4 games.. I think Saturday a ton of questions will be answered.. If we win, then the following week we can actually see how well we've adjusted going against a well coached P5 school.

Losing to Tulane would just be too painful

I think 6-6 is where we’ll land. Ceiling 7-5. Floor 4-8.
