He's 5-21 in one score games. Ouch! Today he elected to try an onside kick up 11 points. 03-lmfao

Almost Tubervillian.

He's toast, what are the chances he is coaching in the American next year?

You have to believe one team is overrated.

Like I said before, they might as well pencil in the 5 same schools in the top 5 year after year. It doesn't matter if they have a new (first time) head coach or not.

I guess it made no dent losing BK. I bet that hurts his ego.

As a side note, Ryan Day's first season (ever) as HC, OSU was also #5 preseason.

Vegas odds makers deal in reality, unlike irish worshiping poll voters.

Thanks to Vegas for giving everyone the easiest bet of the year in game 1. I’ll take 12 and a half points for just about anyone against Nebraska.

Notre Lame is about the most coddled football program out there. I'm so happy for MF to get this opportunity but I've never been a believer in the Irish - Lou Holtz's forever-ago national chip season aside. Saturday night in Columbus will have the Irish drinking Jameson's in large quantities by the half. It's going to get ugly.

RE: 2022 College Football Season Thread
North Carolina [1-0]
App State [0-0] +2

The campus in Boone, NC will be wired and rockin' hosting the Tar Heels. I'll take Appy State.

23Cincinnati [0-0]
19Arkansas [0-0] -6

I think we play this one down to the wire. Our defense is sneaky good [great] and will keep us in it.

24Houston [0-0]
UTSA [0-0] +4

Please Dana, don't Coog it.

11Oregon [0-0]
3Georgia [0-0] -17.5

Another team getting the benefit of the doubt in the rankings IMO. The ducks will be cooked by the half.

Florida St [1-0]
LSU [0-0] -3

Hmmmm...

I am far from a ND fan, but Marcus has been recruiting a different kind of guy up there the past two years. He’s a heck of a coach and the players are inspired to play for him. It will be an OSU win but it will be closer than people think.

Fwiw, there are a lot of ND fans living in Columbus. A ton of “kiss me I’m Irish” types living there.

Yeah, but when do those recruited players start making an impact? We beat them pretty handily in South Bend last season - is their team that much improved from a talent/experience perspective? Don't forget, Ohio State has an all-world QB outside of the kid in Tuscaloosa. I think Marcus coaching his FIRST game in Columbus as an ex-player is going to be emotionally tough to handle - let alone the pressure of making game decisions in real time. Shoot, I hope it's an exciting game vs a blowout...we shall see.

That's true, but both Oregon and Michigan proved that the OSU defense is not on the same level as the offense. I'm thinking this may be closer than most people think.

Early NCAA football season ans Early NFL draft betting are by far the most exploitable times in Sports Betting.

I watched parts of the UCONN game and they didn't look too bad, even their QB went down in the 1st quarter. Utah St was favored to win by 23 and the ended up 31-20. They could surprise some teams this year.

Maybe it's Utah State that is over-rated. I guess we'll know after next week when they play Alabama.

Normally I wouldn't argue for UGone but...they were 24.5 dogs and lost by 11 on the road. Their starting QB left the game from injury early in the first. The parts of the game I watched the players kept fighting until the end. Mora gets credit for having his rebuilt/young team ready to play.

Yes but they led 14-0 and then were out scored 31-6.

Not hoping for it, but I also think that Ohio State destroys ND. They did bring in a new DC, Knowles, from Okie State. He was really good there.

Can't wait for Saturday - what a slate of games!
