This may be the key to winning the West. Time to hop off the high horse and prioritize some of our foes... because every team in the MAC West has us circled. Ive seen our "Win the West" drill. NIU's "Toledo drill" may take the cake.

One game at a time. No MAC game is more important than another. For BGSUX you a win+ or a loss-you really f'd up.

Although that is true, we need to do something different. NIU knows we are the biggest game on their schedule. Who is ours? BG, fine... but they have sucked and an East game matters far less for Detroit talk than our Western foes.

We have a different situation where we get EVERYONES best. Notre Dame didnt give a sh!t about us, and that gave us an edge. The saying is take em one at a time... but the ambiance around NIU and them NEEDING to beat us speaks loud. Maybe thats why CMU seems to sneak up on them so often. Not sure. But hopefully "non rivals" is message board speak and not lockerroom fodder.

The thing is northern Illinois gets pumped up and treats us as a rivalry. We don’t, plain and simple.
I’ve never seen how our coaches and guys get ready for a game. But I have seen this team come out flat so many times since candle took over that I’ve come to expect it. And that’s a shame.

Unfortunately I am not buying my season tickets this year. The first time since Pinkle was coaching. I’ll make a few games but that will be early in the season. I have over an hours drive and can’t be in the cold air.

Those Tuesday's contests can be a killer. The MAC caves in to the ESPN's of the world for the sake of being on TV with he attendance at around 10,000 or fewer.

Yeah, we got an email from the athletic department asking if we’d be interested in press box seats. I called and found out they only offer them in pairs at a cost of $2500. For a 6-game schedule that’s $208+ per ticket x 2. That’s a little pricey, especially when we are playing teams like Long Island. Maybe sometime in the future when we really don’t want to be in the weather…

See if they will fund it through a student loan - then get it forgiven. Simple. Problem solved.... Good for 4 years - so far.

Speaking of rivals
UCLA 370 yds
BG 100 yds
score 24 - 17 UCLA at the half

Wow

Wow

Bizarre game, playing in what looks like an almost empty Rose Bowl in 100 degree heat. BG got a TD on a blocked punt and a field goal after UCLA fumbled another punt inside their own red zone. BG with only 70+ yards on 1 drive and essentially nothing the rest of them.

Now, seems like half the BG defense has limped off with cramps.
