Alright ladies and gentleman, it's that time of the year again. Lets cut to the chase and focus on our first opponent. Home and season opener is NEXT THURSDAY. Personally, I couldn't be more excited. Nothing like a thirsty Thursday under the lights to kick things off. Weather looks promising, fingers crossed. Really no excuse not to make this game considering the TH date doesn't interrupt most Labor Day weekend plans.

+2. Mrs. Red Dog and I will be making the short drive from the Oak Brook area. East side tickets. Will be tailgating in either the convo lot of K lot. TBD.

The Panthers really played NIU tough that day. Did Lynch get knocked out of that game for a bit? I couldn’t attend bc of some family stuff but I remember being shocked when I tuned in the radio feed and we were down quite a bit. Full panic.

Not to disparage EIU but I hope this game is easy and the O gets extra work on the passing game.

Haven’t always agreed with Rod but he wasn’t wrong here:


"He is the best quarterback we've played," Carey said.  "He's going to be playing on Sundays.  He's legit."

I do recall being impressed with how quickly Garrapolo released the ball.

EIU was playing keep away! They drove-- scored-- on side kicked- recovered- drove - scored -- etc. It was funny!
