Tomorrow is the 1st day of the fall signing period.

Today, EMU got another verbal from 5'8 G Cali Denson from Milwaukie HS in Oregon. Beginning to think Castro is allergic to recruiting close to EMU.
anyway, she graduated HS this year already, one article said she didn't like the offers she was getting so decided to go to prep school for a year, but I can't find any indication what school that might be.

Had offers from: KC, South Carolina St, UC Riverside, McNeese St, Morehead St, Eastern Wash, Tulsa

In the post-game presser yesterday, Cullop said regarding the '23 class that they plan to sign 2, and then quickly added, "maybe more".

I take that to mean we will see NLI's signed by Dykstra and Fegan this week (maybe tomorrow) and we will wait til the season is over to see if UT will dip into the portal again to fill any of the other 2 open spots.

Will take me a few days to compile all the signings, but most of the above signed today. No announcements at all yet from EMU or WMU players that I can see on twitter though, for example. Did see 2 surprises signed that I had not seen as verbals before:

Miami signs 5'8 G Madison Huhn from Carlsbad HS, CA. Can't even find a twitter, so haven't found other offers as of yet.
Ohio signs 5'11 G Aylasia Fantroy from Palestine HS, TX. No other offers listed on her twitter.

So, MU & OU thinking outside of the traditional recruiting areas to find players. No clue what the connections were to get those players to southern Ohio.

Looks like Buffalo lost one of their verbals, Jada Mills, to James Madison, but has signed the rest. EMU announced the signings of Adams and Denson, but not Clement. WMU has not announced anything yet. Everyone else I think is signed.

Ball St picked up another '23 verbal, although she doesn't appear to have signed yet, in 6'1 Iris Vennema, from the Netherlands. Sallee has taken over from Cullop as the leading International recruiter in the MAC. This year has players from Iceland, Spain, Croatia and Portugal, and now will add one from the Netherlands.

Still no word at all from WMU on their signings. Strange.

Out of 41 verbals, 37 have signed, 1 flipped to another school and 3 remain unsigned (or signing has not been publicized.)
WMU has still not put out any info on their signees, although I was able to find on twitter that Denali Craig-Edwards did sign her NLI. No word on the other two.
No word on the Spanish player Clement who had verballed to EMU. If she falls through, that will be the 2nd Spanish player to do so in 2 years for them.
A couple schools still seem to have over-signed (OU especially) but that must mean there are players who will still have eligibility they do not expect back in '23.

33 HS signees, 1 JUCO and 3 internationals so far. (plus 3 unsigned)

Last year, there were only 22 HS signees (including those signed after February), 4 internationals, and 30 transfers. Won't know this year's transfers until after the season is over.

CMU tweeted two surprise signings today at opposite ends of the height spectrum.

Offers seems strange. How is a player getting offers from DII Wayne St & Davenport and also one from Georgia Tech at the same time?

Also finally saw confirmation that 6'4 Evyn Carrier has signed her NLI with WMU, although WMU still has officially been completely silent on any signings. Still 2 verbals unaccounted for so far - Macon with WMU, and Clement with EMU.

I see today that Buffalo has added a JUCO big in 6'2 Chanteese Craig from Wabash CC. Played HS ball at Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran. Had offers from Detroit, KC and So Miss. Her twitter indicated she had an offer from Georgia out of HS.

It also appears that Makenna Macon did sign with WMU this month.
