Evidently, this study still has USC/UCLA in the Pac...but kinda interesting (and debatable).

Thanks for sharing. I saw this same report on a different message board a few weeks ago.

If you subtract the USC/UCLA fan bases from the P12 numbers it's a lot closer to the new B12 at 16.69 million fans. It's still larger than us (mostly due to Oregon), but it's much closer to where the new B12 will be at.

Not sure I agree with all the numbers, but it is interesting.

Yes, I'm rather skeptical of this data. There was a scientific survey done in 2016 that showed UCF had a larger fan base than Miami in Florida. So unless those 2 million additional Miami fans are all out of state, this doesn't jive with more recent data. Admittedly, it does seem like there's a huge overlap between Yankees fans and Miami fans...bandwagon jumpers truly.

Miami does have a huge t-shirt fan outside of Florida. It has to do with hip-hop and their colors. When Miami was at UC in 2015 I sat near some Miami fans that were from Indianapolis and I spoke to another group that drove in from PA. Neither went to the university or where originally from Florida.

At the time this study was originally done UC did not have a Facebook page, and Vivid seats was a primary vendor of UC FB games. It comes no where closing capturing the size of UC's fan base.
