All the higher seeds won. Sorry about UTA getting knocked out, but you had a much better season than the pre-season polls predicted.

The timeout at 18-7 really set the momentum of the match, if Todd had subbed out instead of calling I think the chances of winning become greater.

UVU is going for their 3rd straight NCAA appearance.

Unfortunately, UVU ended up losing in the championship match and not continuing their streak. They were a little down this year with some graduations but made it to the final.

Long shot, based on past NCAA tournaments. My understanding is that they don't strictly follow the RPI. We're at #53, if they're even considering going into that range they'd probably pick #56 TAMU and/or #58 UCLA instead.

More likely it will be the NVIT for us. But who knows.

I think that UCLA or TAMU have a much better shot than UTRGV, sorry. But I hope that you get a few good games in the NVIT. As I stated earlier, such a frustrating season for NMSU.

Any ideas what happened? In your matches with us, Katie Bircil just didn't seem as formidable as last year.

The NIT of Volleyball is called the NIVC which is called National Volleyball Invitational Championship there is always a good chance that multiple WAC teams get in but I think that UTRGV has an opportunity to host as an at large in the NIVC but the NCAA is a long stretch.

The entire team seemed to be like that. One day a few would play well, then they would play bad when another player would play well. Just a frustrating season

RGV received the WAC autobid to the NIVC. Grand Canyon also received an at large bid.

The Vaqs are hosting Houston Christian on 12/2, and GCU travels to Wichita State on 12/4.

Good luck to SFA, facing Baylor tomorrow in the NCAA first round. If they get past that the next round is Colorado or Rice.

SFA knocked out the NCAA tournament by #17 Baylor.

RGV has won in the first two rounds of the NIVC (Houston Christian, then South Dakota State), and is now in the round of 8. Next opponent is Davidson, at Davidson.

GCU will play their first NIVC game against Wichita State on Sunday.

Pretty sure that Bears volleyball team was taller than any of the WBB NCAA tourney teams the Ladyjacks have faced lately. Giants.

GCU took down Wichita State (RPI 60) Sunday but then lost to Drake today.

Davidson 3 UTRGV 0, and the WAC is done for the season.
