LOL that his Dad wasn't prepared for the chilly summertime weather in SF.

RE: Stone Garrett
I saw Stone absolutely crush a HR to dead center field in a HS tournament against my son’s team. The CFer never even turned around. The CFer told us afterwards he heard it splash in a lake well beyond the field. Stone was a man among boys at that level. I wish he would have come to Rice. And I wish him well going forward.

RE: Stone Garrett
Looked like he made a mistake going pro right out of high school or maybe got hurt since he ended up selling real estate before geting another shot at baseball.?

Sounds like he may have been a victim of MLB all but shutting down minor league ball during Covid. Not sure that would have been much different if he had come to Rice to play before going pro, but at least he would have a Rice degree or have been well on the way to one. In any event, I'm glad it's working out for him.

Stone was 2-5 in his 2nd game with another double. After 2 MLB games, he’s 4-8 with a HR and 2 doubles, with an OPS of 1.375.

Nice start!
