They can wait until those ACC teams are available and grow then. So they could be wanting ND, Washington, Stanford and Clemson (just as an example). None of those have to happen now. Some could wait until next summer. Or even when the ACC deal ends. They know their endgame, but don't take that to mean it's happening right away. They can definitely afford to be patient.
i don't think Warren was talking 10 years into the future the B1G will be 20 strong. That is just too far future. I can see the B1G expanding within 5 years to give it aa few years to see how the LA2 work out.

B1G Deal: Big Ten Lands 7 yrs/$7 Billion, NFL-Style TV Contracts

Only a matter of time before some combination of PAC schools is in the Big 12.
I saw a report from a couple reporters associated with the Utah teams, and they are basically saying many of the PAC teams are so much in debt that the reduction in TV money by USC/UCLA departing is going to force several of those schools athletic departments into insolvency. UCLA was one of the biggest debters, and only their lawsuit against Under Armour was the reason they haven't gone under already.
I think it would be a HUGE mistake to try and add any of the PAC teams until more information about the financial health of those schools athletic departments is made known.
Besides, I haven't seen any evidence being reported yet that adding any of the PAC teams doesn't dilute the B12 distributions yet. If there's a decrease in revenue by adding teams, there's really no point.
Why are the PAC teams in so much debt? Do they not know how to manage their money?

They put a ton of money into their Olympic sports, especially women’s. Many of those schools sponsor 34-36 sports.

For example Cal has 30 Varsity sports:

Women: Basketball, beach volleyball, cross country, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, lacrosse, rowing, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, volleyball and water polo.
Stanford has 36- including all the above plus fencing, sailing, wrestling, artistic swimming and squash.
