Follow your dreams... Oops, I mean don't follow them and take the money, because that's all that matters.

Yeah heard about that. I have no idea why he would risk that.
Unless he's getting a $5,000,000 NIL deal, there is no way I would risk it ... He would have to be an NBA lottery pick to make that much, and the odds are NOT in his favor ... Take the $5,000,000 ... that's life changing money for 99% of Americans ... I know it would be for me !!!
If he is healthy, he's NBA good & $5M would hardly be a one yr deal - that's why he'd risk it.

Exactly and I’m sure his dream is playing in the NBA.

He could easily end up being an overseas or gleaguer. He isnt exactly a slam dunk multiyear contract guy. Especially if teams think he is a health risk for a 82 game season.

Haven't forgotten .... Just wishing that I had known then, what I know now; would have made a lot of different choices ... Just trying to help the young man out ...

So is his health issue COVID-related as everyone was scared about in 2020?

Certainly not vaccine related since there was no COVID vaccine in 2020. And there were really no COVID indications at any point in any stories about his collapse. I'm not sure there was ever a conclusive diagnosis either.

I just remember speculation at the time that it was COVID-related. Glad to hear that it wasn't.
