NBR: B1G and ESPN part ways.
ESPN turned down a 7/$380 million dollar offer to show B1G games. B1G will take their product to Fox, CBS, NBC, and a streaming service. Warren is putting the B1G on linear services like the NFL which is his background.
So now the B1G gets the Noon slot (Fox), 2:30 slot (CBS), and 6 pm slot (NBC). That is pure genius on the B1G part.

Sorta but not exactly… The big ten was in an open market negotiating window and took a better offer that ESPN chose not to match. ESPN sued cusa because it argued the conference ignored a clause in its existing deal allowing ESPN a window of opportunity to match any competing offers.
