That is EXACTLY what this is about.

+3. Not because I agree with you. I absolutely do not. But because you’ve demonstrated in one very succinct sentence the glaring truth that tanq., Tom and others are incapable of grasping despite countless mostly insulting paragraphs of claiming to be smarter than everyone else.

Well done, TB4E.

Condolences however to our nation, which is left with politically self-imolated justice system and a high likelihood of an unqualified clown returning to the White House.

The orange guy is basically ******.

And that, in your view, makes the raid perfectly fine.

That's not meant as a question. I know for a certainty that this is how your unprincipled mind works. American civil rights are apparently now a conditional thing - - dependent on whether the cool people in power hate the target.

No, in my view, the raid was perfectly fine the moment I saw that it was a months long process and was signed off on by a judge. Until it's shown otherwise, the DOJ/FBI/Judge are also presumed innocent if you will. And that was further bolstered by the undisputed facts that they found exactly what they were looking for. They clearly had credible witnesses within trump world.

Former elected officials can break the law too...you're basically arguing that any warrant served on one is political. God help our country if that becomes any sort of precedent.

You're going to have a HELLUVA time trying to make the case that any rights of trump were violated when a warrant was issued by a judge and they told the SS in advance that they were coming to preform the search, which trump actually watched online in NY.

This sounds very familiar. Wasn't the (Russia, Russia, Russia) FISA warrant signed off on by a judge? Asking for a friend. 07-coffee3

And the fact that literally a hundred or so of the items being searched for in this case were found in the basement, and a number more packed in a box in the office along with some Time magazine mementos, speaks fairly loudly as to the accuracy of the underlying warrant in this particular instance.

Kind of a small fact that kind of makes your excuse not so viable.

Just mentioning for a friend.

Most of us remember seeing this dog and pony show before with the aforementioned (Russia, Russia, Russia) and the (we've got the bastard now) legally but falsely obtained FISA warrant. If I remember correctly the LEFT rode that donkey for 3 years with seemingly endless mounds of evidence to support their salacious claims. It was all good up until it suddenly wasn't worth the paper it was typed on and it all fell apart like the proverbially house of cards.

Yeah, you're right the DOJ and FBI would neaaaaaaaaaver create false evidence to support their cause - which is to damage Trump ahead of the '24 election. The list is long of high-ranking people and organizations that supposedly had enough to put Trump away - Lawyer Michael Avenatti, Congressman Eric Swalwell, etc. The common denominator each time has been just another bunch of lies put out to tarnish Trump's name with the public, and to keep him tied up with the process.

You believe whatever you want, but a good lawyer would have the common sense to say, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me" when looking at (evidence) provided by questionable parties that have a recent track record of fabricating false information, and an obvious hatred for the individual being accused. Lastly, tell your 'friend' LeftwingTom that you mentioned you created your statement for that I said hello.

Here's a nice timeline of how professional and above board the people are that you seem anxious to hitch your wagon to.

I guess you are circling back to the 'it was planted' or 'it was manufactured' explanation.

Got it.

Looks like that ball of poo was taken to task by the special master today when he directed ol Donny to submit to him any issues they have on the inventory list

The tried and true 'Russia' followed by 'they planted it"
One would think there would be better than those stale, yet tried ad infinitum excuses.

Better yet, in the words of Judge Dearie, maybe some proof aside from the wild gyrations......

Essentially the order of the appellate court is based on the DOJ calling the material “classified” and “vital to national security”, and the court’s determination they have no authority to question the decision of the executive branch when it comes to matters of national security.

The court (judicial branch) openly states they defer to the DOJ (executive branch) as to any/all claims of harm to national security that may be caused by a review of documents the DOJ-NSD determine, on their own authority, to be identified as classified (sensitive, secret or top-secret).

Therefore, if the DOJ states sharing the “classified documents” with a special master may harm national security, the court must accept that position without challenge.

The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals is doing what the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) does with the DOJ-NSD and any matters defined by the originating Main Justice officials as “national security.” The 11th Circuit is deferring to the DOJ.

The DOJ is granted legal benefit of the doubt on all matters of national security, which puts the DOJ-NSD in ultimate control over the star chamber they operate.

In the post 9-11 surveillance state, this approach by the DOJ-NSD is a pillar holding the Fourth Branch of Government in place, as we have outlined. The other pillars are (2) the Dept of Homeland Security, (3) the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and (4) the secret FISA Court system.

All four pillars maintain an omnipotent fourth branch of government that operates entirely without oversight. As you can see in the 11th Circuit Court ruling, there is no check or balance in the post 9-11 national security state.

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blo...ore-237928

Well, thats the value of legal analysis from the vaunted authority such as the "theconservativetreehouse.com"...... lolz.

Just to let you know, and had you fing bothered to read the opinion as opposed to throwing out some regurgitated pile of poo from some blogosphere dude, that isnt what happened.

The process is:

Appellant states a claim --- then provides facts and evidence to buttress that claim of fact.

If sufficient, that makes a prima facie standing of that fact, or case.

Appellee then has an opportunity to counter that claim of fact. And, in fact, the Trump attorneys have been invited by the judges to address claims that the facts as presented are not so.

The judges then determine based on the evidence in front of them.

In the case of the 11th Circuit, Trump's lawyers did there best whack a mole stuff -- questioning the classified nature and offering no proof to counter the facts placed in evidence before them. No proof. Zero. Zilch, None. Nada. Nunca. Empty set.

In the case of the special master hearing, Dearie actually told Trump's this. And he asked them if they wished to present something. Anything. Since, according to him, the government 'has made its prima facie case.' He stated straight out that Trumps attorneys point blank that their pleadings offer no proof. Just a bunch of hand waving. Again, no proof. Zero. Zilch, None. Nada. Nunca. Empty set.

But your legal tome of the vaunted legal source of 'theconservativetreehouse.com' (or wackjobs and legal r' us as they might more aptly be termed) never mentioned the facts, the prima facie case, the absence of any proof by the Trump side, and not only that -- one judge telling them straight out how and why they fked up (literally telling them the fault they need to correct), and even then they said 'not now, we dont want to'.

Just this is innately incorrect: "The DOJ is granted legal benefit of the doubt on all matters of national security". No, they actually have to make a prima facie case to proceed. The 11th Circuit required that, and the Special Master did as well.

But keep serving us up this warm pile of ignorant and misleading poo masquerading as anything of a legal analysis. Good grief.

You missed the whole point of that Post, I'm not surprised.

The whole point of the post was intelligence running and directing a 'star chamber' that deferred to exclusively since "[t]he DOJ is granted legal benefit of the doubt on all matters of national security."

Aside from the thesis being not even remotely correct ----- yeah, right on point.

I am okay with the facts of the issue.

What I find utterly inane is some wild ass gyration of 'they planted it' with *zero* grounding in any fact whatsoever.

If there are in fact such items to support your mind numbingly idiotic and unsubstantiated comment about 'stuff was planted' or 'stuff was manufactured; -- take Judge Dearies advice and put it out there.

Simply said -- if your 'ball of poo' had some flipping grounding or basis in facts I wouldnt be noting it as a 'ball of poo'.

Or just keep throwing poo against the wall and see what sticks.

Not my problem. But somehow you are "surprised" when your groundless topic is noted for what it is. Bummer.

Maybe next go around blame the Roswell space aliens, or some secret Angolan email con ring -- have about as much grounding as your 'they planted it schtick'.... and it wouldnt be the so normally and mundane form of stupid exhibited.

Before you get your panties too wadded up, I was only implying - and correctly so - that these same people (FBI & DOJ) have attempted to pull the wool over the public's eyes before, and it took about 3 years to disprove the 'evidence' on that one. Since you're projecting yourself as someone that is all about the 'facts', we should be able to find some common ground that those are facts that have been proven and should be taken into consideration since it is basically the same people chasing the same person in this case. Guess anyone questioning that one during the first year or two would have been subjected to your cutesy 'Roswell space aliens' type of rhetoric too. Lolz - yeah, Bummer.

As far as you're concerned this is an open and shut case because they have a photo of papers on the floor along with some other unquestionable facts, and it's just a matter of time till we get to the sentencing phase. Does that sound about right? I'm sure the Dems would be pleased if this one took a couple of years to disprove as well. Do you really think this was just about getting some OMG national security items back, and this was simply the only way to get it done?

On a side note -
Did you happen to see what the Sun Belt 3 ended up paying to CUSA to leave early? It just came out recently and I thought you would be interested to see if it was close to your predicted outcome.

This tanqtonic/ODU BBALL exchange highlights a sad reality for our nation.

Before Obama, only the most conspiracy-minded among us would have suspected our D.o.J. and investigative services to be corrupt institutions. Now only the most naive or deluded among us dismiss that as anything other than a very real and terrifying possibility.

Before Trump, pretty much no one would think of their president being stupid and reckless enough to keep top secret national documents lying loose in his desk and around his bedroom. Now pretty much most of us are past the stupid and reckless part and instead are debating how serious of a threat it posed.

I absolutely get it. When you are a committed defender of all things Trump, often times the only thing you can do is laugh.

He's like a classroom renegade. Too cool to follow the rules. Too stupid to do anything other than get himself in trouble and trust that his lovable nature will get him out of anything serious. Sorta like a national version of the John Travolta character on the old "Welcome Back Kotter" show.

Problem is, at some point the show gets cancelled. And endlessly re-watching it in syndication starts to get pretty damn boring.

that’s called term limits…

and don’t kid yourself, DeSantis is designing plays/strategy straight out of the DJT playbook (just like many pubs have realized better method over the past handful of years)

This is an excellent point. We must always give credit to the groundbreakers. Donald was a groundbreaking politician on the national scene, and no one should ever forget that.

Does that then mean we are stuck with him? Can we not honor his achievement, yet look to others that are leagues better than he is at delivering?

Dick Fosbury was a groundbreaking high jumper, who revolutionized his sport with the "Fosbury Flop". He will forever be remembered for that. But if he were transported in time to today, he would not make the cut on modern Olympic team. Others are way better at it than him.

I suspect that Dick Fosbury is fine with that. That he is proud of his achievement and happy that others are carrying on with what he created. He is not sitting on the sideline sabotaging or criticizing those who are now in the game. By reputation, Dick Fosbury is an honorable man.

Unfortunately, Donald Trump is not. He is the turd that will take pot shots at those attempting to carry on his legacy. Because that's who he is.

I hope that I am wrong on this. But I don't think that I am.

Here's a nice timeline of how professional and above board the people are that you seem anxious to hitch your wagon to.

https://i0.wp.com/fatherlyadviceandrants....jpg?ssl=1

I guess you are circling back to the 'it was planted' or 'it was manufactured' explanation.

Got it.

Looks like that ball of poo was taken to task by the special master today when he directed ol Donny to submit to him any issues they have on the inventory list

The tried and true 'Russia' followed by 'they planted it"
One would think there would be better than those stale, yet tried ad infinitum excuses.

Better yet, in the words of Judge Dearie, maybe some proof aside from the wild gyrations......

Seems like you're OK with a "ball of poo" so long as the "poo" came from a friendly source. Not surprised.

Without underlying facts -- yeah you would be correct. If you bothered to look I noted the underlying lack of facts there.

Quote:As far as you're concerned this is an open and shut case because they have a photo of papers on the floor along with some other unquestionable facts, and it's just a matter of time till we get to the sentencing phase. Does that sound about right?

Im still waiting for facts on the other side. I havent said 'hes guilty, lock him up'. Perhaps you should state where I have considering your comment above. Please do, be precise.

What I do have from the Donny side is what one typically gets from Donny. Excuse 1, then excuse 2, then 3, then 4..... I could go on but you get the picture.

Special master is now making him back up all the inveterate **** he has tossed out. Maybe Donny will give us some stuff under oath there -- that is stuff that can be taken as fact as to 'declassification' or 'they planted it'.

Or, more likely, he will simply do what he did on Fox and run all the same unsubstantiated **** that he has such an awesome track record of doing. And which then gets slurped up by his dear followers and regurgitated out from them like you just did.

Quote:I'm sure the Dems would be pleased if this one took a couple of years to disprove as well. Do you really think this was just about getting some OMG national security items back, and this was simply the only way to get it done?

The DOJ gave the Donald plenty of chances to do that. He blew off subpoenas, gave them a false sworn declaration, and that is how we got there.

But again you show your awesome streak of 'conspiracy' hive mind when you conflate the DOJ actions and the 'Dems would be pleased' along with the claptrap about them running how it goes.

You seem really steeped in conspiracy stuff at the drop of a hat washout the basics of actually bothering with the little stuff like underlying facts.

Yep sure did. Pretty slick move of the shitbird breachers to run to their own court to weasel out of their agreement to binding arbitration. Nothing like getting the local JP style judge to grant them their out where what they signed and agreed to they really didnt sign and agree to -- and simply bog it down.

Not that the above has much to do with the current Donny thing except for you to provide a whiny comment,. Bravo.... (I guess)

Not that the underlying facts have much to do with your whine above. Seems to be a pattern.

I agree that the political style is straight out of the Trump playbook. And in terms of political playbook, I have zero issue with DeSantis rolling with that. Come to think of it, I actually think that is a positive for Trump as well.

I just dont get the feeling that DeSantis is, at his core, a dedicated grifter and abuser of the powers of his office solely for his own gain.

Maybe I am incorrect on that -- if so DeSantis covers that aspect up pretty darn good.

Now pretty much most of us are past the stupid and reckless part and instead are debating how serious of a threat it posed.

lulz, yea someone should have watched Jesse Watters last night before making that comment, because anyone's comments about documents at Maralargo being insecure is just idiotic.

1. Maralargo was used as a place of work for Trump WHILE he was president.

2. Maralargo is guarded by secret service.

Now, compare this to previous presidents:

1. GHW Bush had his papers sent to a strip mall where a bowling alley was located.

2. CLinton had his sent to a used car dealership.

3. BUsh had his put in a warehouse.

4. Obama had his sent to an abandoned furniture warehouse, and we have the paper trail to know for certain that classified documents were sent there.

So, in reality, Trumps papers are in the most secure location of any of these previous presidents.

Hey Einstein - "ON A SIDE NOTE" means that it has no bearing on the original topic, you know, the current "Donny thing". That was a lame attempt by you to try to tie the two things together when they previously weren't. Bravo.... (I guess).

By the way, you're being called out on your past ramblings -

Has it crossed any liberal's mind that this entire investigation is to rile up the leftist base before the midterms? Also to take the microscope off Biden's disastrous Presidency?

- Stock market is crashing
- Inflation near all time highs
- Interest rates increasing
- Housing market a mess
- Layoffs starting to happen
- GDP shrinking
