The 10 Commandments of AUP and Board Use & Other Rules & Regs
1. Thou shalt not use any iteration of the F bomb as it offends benefactors! This means flatly stated, intentionally misspelled to bypass profanity filters, text abbreviated, or by any other method.
2. Thou shalt not make personal threats bodily or otherwise lest thou be destroyed by permanent ban. This includes urging violence against anything or person.
3. Thou shalt not use slurs against race, use race baiting as any form of argument, or bring up race lest thou be destroyed by permanent ban. Nor may thou bring up politics on the CS/CR forum!
4. Thou shalt not dox anyone lest thou be destroyed by permanent ban.
5. Thou shalt not troll, which means targeting any conference, school, or poster with the intent of starting or escalating a needless flame war between posters. This will result in harsh warnings and or banning or permanent banning.
6. Remember moderation and keep it private! (Moderation can be in line in open threads if you have your PM feature turned off, or in response to a public statement you have made.) Failure to do so could result in harsher percentages of warning or in bans, or in permanent bans.
7. Remember the Regular Season and keep it set apart! Thou shalt not fantasize or start fantasy threads (which usually begin with "What if") during college football season or college hoops season. Our readers come to the board for information and talk about the games and if these kinds of threads are covered up by fantasy threads, we get fewer viewers and casual viewers dwarf the number of posts and poster traffic. They help keep this site free.
8. Thou shalt not post links which are behind a paywall! Please summarize what you have read and cite the source. Posting a link to a paywall is ancillary to another sin, spamming, which is usually designed to drive another site's revenue.
9. Thou shalt not spam! Officially that is connecting to sites with the intent to drive traffic elsewhere. But that definition has been broadened to include the starting of useless threads for whatever reason. Useless threads may include but are not limited to endless polls which have no purpose and bear no weight on a topic. Such threads like fantasy threads cover up more important topics of discussion on the board. This is also a tedious distraction for readers of the site. It can also mean posting threads on the College Sports and Conference Realignment board which are specific to a single conference or school and best posted on another forum.
10. Thou shalt not dissemble! Nothing makes a thread more unreadable than perpetuating an argument by constantly changing the nature of the discussion, or by quibbling over esoteric or inane aspects of a discussion. There is a special place in ban hell for those who do this.
Keep your AUP commandments and enjoy your board life and the fellowship of other sports enthusiasts. And unlike things written in stone these rules may or may not be altered, amended, or added to.

OTHER MATTERS:
Do not link a thread to an article behind a paywall.
Do not treat the subject of a conference being raided in a trollish or mocking manner as you will be harshly dealt with.
