P 10 scheduling
If the Pac stays with 10 schools, they should adopt the one-division schedule used by the Big 12 in recent years. Play the other 9 teams annually. Put the two best in the conference playoff.

I imagine that this is what we will see. The divisions are already scrapped. Staying at 9 conference games makes sense

They pretty much have to in order to guarantee everyone a game in California.

RE: P 10 scheduling
They already play a nine game schedule so I don't see why they'd change.

Round-robin works great; double RR for BB too.

Colorado doesn't sponsor baseball so the 30 game schedule is presumably a full round robin. With nine baseball members they could go to 24 games or maybe play a couple teams twice.

I0 members doing round robin, no divisions. It may be the most prudent option.

Of course now California is only Bay Area and not Los Angeles anymore. Is it as attractive?

Is there an option other than round-robin? Drop to 8 conference games? Sounded like the Big 12 was uninterested in an alliance.

With 10 schools, 9/18 game schedule for Football/Basketball are required to have sufficient inventory.

Most ADs prefer a full round robin anyway

I will be surprised if this isn't the PAC plan...and their decisions will continue to shoot themselves in the foot. There's too much parity in the conference and the round robin will continue to keep the PAC 12 champ out of the CFP top-4. The CCG rematches don't get great TV ratings and hurt them in the rankings.

Didn't hurt the Big 12 as far as Oklahoma making the playoffs went.

Parity in Pac-12 was the result of Petersen never being able to get UW going, Oregon never quite getting it truly together and USC athletic department being in complete disarray for a decade, such that Clay Helton looked like as good as they could expect.

They scheduling never helped the top schools, but honestly it was a triple drought where the likes of Utah and Stanford, your perennial #10-15 ranked 3rd place schools were winning the conference as often as not.

Imagine the Big 12 the last decade if Oklahoma had been mediocre, or the ACC if Clemson was more often 9-3 than 12-1. That's what the Pac-12 suffered.
