I see four new names on the just-released volleyball roster. One old name that I had assumed would be leaving was outstanding setter Jaclyn Inclan. A new Argentinian to join starter Bere Almeyda on the roster, and another recruit from our Turkish connection to join Ezgi Dokuzlar. Season begins the 26th.

Of the top 8 players in Sets Played, the only one not listed as returning is Nailah Jones.

Coach was really bragging on the new Chinese setter he brought in, and then it turns out that Inclan did not leave after all, so we should be really strong at that position.

We have a returning All-American in Feliz, but Almeyda's attack percentage was considerably better than hers. I'm telling you - this could be a special team.

If they have Inclan and Feliz, they will have a great team. The more returners, and the more new talent, the better.

Tony is a fantastic coach and his players love him. When you have Juco players willing to follow you to Chicago State to play for you when they had offers from all over the place, you have something great going on.

The competition on the schedule this year is going to be even tougher, but if they can have a similar record to the 17-11 squad from last year, they will be an extremely competitive team.

I don't know how the volleyball tournament works. Do we stand any chance to get an invite as an independent?
