I tell you what I like about Donald Trump. He drives sensitive people with terrible ideas they wish to impose on others insane. I want a President that puts America first, especially in trade issues.

America First - - that is a clear, simple, principled position.

I've seen enough of your posts, 49R, to know that you are very much an "America First" poster. Many others on this forum are as well. I do not doubt for a second that you and others are sincere in your belief that Donald Trump is on balance good for America, and in your view is the best option for leading our country in 2024 and after.

I just don't happen to believe that. My sense is that Donald Trump is on balance not a good option for leading America. Not today, not tomorrow nor in 2024.

That's not to say that I think he hasn't done good by our nation. He has, particularly in sparing us the poison of a Hillary Clinton presidency. What I believe is that he is not a good option going forward.

That apparently is not an opinion one is allowed to state on this board. Or maybe you can state it once or twice, but not too many times. That, well that is just bad posting manners. It's okay to dump as often as we wish on others - - Biden, Harris, Romney, McConnell, Pence, and so on. But not the great Donald. God no.

Having the temerity to be vocal on this subject has made me persona non grata on this board. And I'm perfectly fine with that. (If we were in England, I would risk being prosecuted for wrongthink. If we were in Iran, I'd be hung from a crane. So I truly have no problem, and in fact am grateful, that the worst I will face for my bad posting manners is vocal dislike on this board.)

The problem I have - - not with you and not with most posters on this forum, but certainly with some - - is the assumption that there is no difference between "America First" and "Donald First". That's ignorant. And I am going to call it out when I see it.

How does one recognize if you are a "Donald First" poster? Here are a few indications:

--> If you have shrugged off the double Republican losses in the Georgia senatorial runoffs as something that was just inevitable, as opposed to something that may have been adversely affected by a presidential temper tantrum, you might be a "Donald First" poster.

--> If you consider Drs. Fauci and Birx as just an unavoidable evil of the deep state, instead of bureaucratic suck ups who were very foolishly and needlessly empowered by a naive president, you might be a "Donald First" poster.

--> If you think that obscene gov't spending wasn't also happening in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, you might be a "Donald First" poster.

--> If you think that mob behavior is only wrong when progressives do it, you might be a "Donald First" poster.

--> If you think that conservative voters should be grateful having Dr. Oz as their 2022 Senate candidate, you might be a "Donald First" poster.

These are the ones that occur to me at the moment.

Well, except for one more:

--> If you cannot handle seeing another nameless poster type something less than flattering about the great Donald Trump, such that it triggers an angry response, well then you might be a "Donald First" and not an "America First" poster.

You guys are pretty rough on Adopted Monarch, even though he repeatedly acknowledges President Trump has done great things. With an absolute dearth of liberal posters that can coherently put together a thought, I don't mind hearing a different viewpoint, even if clearly not my own. I would warn that a hive mentality can exist not only with the MSM and the democrats, and the last thing we want is reasonable people being discouraged from voicing opinions that may conflict, in part, with our own. Trump, in my opinion was exactly what we needed and accomplished a lot (starting with SC nominations), exactly when we needed it. He was damned and opposed by a swamp that did not like nor would accept a change in the status quo, and in my opinion accepted too many opinions of who could be trusted and who could not. A second Trump term will assuredly have DJT cleaning house of embedded swamp beaurocrats, which is disruptive but needed. I also agree with AM that Trump's messaging was, at times, over the top and reactionary, but I also give the man complete credit for showing the willingness to fight and call out BS when thrown his way. Too few Republicans are willing to get their hands dirty and throw some mud, which cedes the accusation, innuendo, and emotion to the Blue team. Whether President Trump gets another term, or DeSantis, I am all in. The choice is clear, even if the candidates have some warts. I prefer a healthy debate on nuance, but let's not forget that personalities come and go, but it is the ideas and what a President actually believes and does that is lasting. Room in our tent for those that have a different view of how to win hearts and minds. Just remember, it is your very best friends that tell you the things that you don't want to hear; and I have lived my life following that belief. I prefer to actually have to ponder why I feel the way I do, and who is influencing that thought, and that only occurs when some element outside the hive challenges the general consensus. Said my peace. Now let's go win back Congress this year and the White House in 2024.

And yet there's some skinny little soy boy out there who desperately wants in her pants. She makes a great case for celibacy.

I can't help thinking that it would be just reward for Islamic terrorists if all those virgins turned out to look like that. There is a reason why they are still virgins.
