People take them to watch kids play soccer, baseball, etc. in addition to using them to tailgate.

I keep a couple in my car trunk all the time.

I use mine as beach chairs. I just sling the bag strap over my shoulder with the chair in it and pull a cooler and umbrella and set up shop on the beach.
