The UB alumni team (Blue Collar U) has made the final game of ESPN's The Basketball Tournament. The final game is Tuesday night at 8pm on ESPN in Dayton.
Pretty cool event for the middle of summer, and the winning team get $1millon to split.

All the big contributors on the team are UB guys that had success in the Nate Oats years (Massinburg, Perkins, Wes Clark, Hamilton, Bearden, Ford, etc). Antwon Lillard from Bowling Green is also on the team and hit some really clutch shots the last few games to help them advance.
The team they are facing in the Championship game is Americana for Autism. They are made up of guys that all played at different Universities.

The team has been wearing jersey's with the names of the Buffalo shooting victims from a few weeks back. It's been a nice tribute to those folks and the team are proud to honor them.

If you're a MAC hoops fan, flip the game on Tuesday night for a bit.

Yep, Winner Winner!.... a million bucks for the UB guys to split up. It turned out to be their easiest game, the players were really in the zone. Massinburg said it felt like college all over again and their chemistry was off the charts compared to the other teams.

Game seemed almost like an advertisement for UB MBB (and also Nate Oats)

Congrats to the Blue Collar U. And putting the UB basketball program as a talking point on ESPN.

I'm sure that might have put a couple of recruits on UB's program that may not have given UB a second thought.
