clt says the eCu v Charlotte games are going to be electric. Rural school with declining enrollment vs urban school growing annually,
Light rail v freight rail
6th busiest airport in the world v runway composed of seashells and tar
We could go with The Big City Green Bowl
Big City (Charlotte) vs Green (Greenville)
That’s all I got.

The newly added teams are depressing, was so happy when we got the AAC invite. We have got to get out of here yesterday, how did this even happen? ECU deserves better than this
Why? What has ECU done to “deserve “ better than than this? Short answer, NOTHING. with the new additions predictions are ECU will still be mid pack at best. Let’s not get started on BBall. Seriously get over yourself.
FYI, I am an ECU fan with ties but live in reality.

USM and Marshall (except baseball) would probably take precedence over ODU and CCU, but I get what you're saying.
All the more reason As for Marshall baseball, they just greenlighted a new stadium. They'll see a huge boost

Well we finished 4th place last year only behind 3 teams that are leaving. I have seen us picked 4th again next year so not even sure what you are talking about. You root for FAU who sabatoged their own team and ran off a great coach. We have multiple conference championships and some of these teams don’t even have multiple years playing football or even owning a jock strap but sure. Is FAU even being added, to be honest I haven’t even looked.
Sabotaged their own team and ran off their coach? What the heck are you talking about?
I know exactly where ECU placed last year and the 20 before that, do you? How do comment on the incoming teams if you haven’t even looked and don’t know if FAU is one of them? You’re a waste of time, moving on.

Charlotte is going to lowkey end up being a rival because ECU is going to need to annihilate them every year for perception’s sake. Having that victory is going to become very important to our fanbase and Charlotte is going to want to create parity between us.

That mentality didn't work well for ECU against USF. USF, an up-and-coming program like Charlotte, owned ECU for years. ECU needs to establish a winning program.

I like this dude! A rivalry just makes sense, but we need to do our part. Anything to beat back the ACC lovefest in the state is a win, IMO.

The App/ECU series in a no-brainer. Good fanbases that actually show up to games.
Light smack talk between two of the best tailgating fanbases in-state. Both understand the game of football. Both like to have a drink post-game.
What's not to like about those games.
Besides neither fanbase was born on second and couldn't hit a single.

The rail is convenient to get the heck out of Harrisburg after a win and ride back down to South Charlotte for a decent meal.
Unless you live in Davidson or on Lake Norman, north Charlotte is awful.

Thanks Saint. My point exactly. UCF and USF were forced into a rivalry, and the war on I4 ended up being one of the best games on the conference schedule each year. They weren't always good at the same time, but the years that they were made every other year a good watch.
Now, I agree that assigning a "rivalry" game between ECU and Tulane or SMU wouldn't gain a ton of traction. Any combination of ECU/App/UNCC would be much easier after a couple of high-stakes games.

clt says the eCu v Charlotte games are going to be electric. Rural school with declining enrollment vs urban school growing annually,
Light rail v freight rail

Can one ride your light rail train directly from the airport to the UNC University City football stadium?
Well not directly from the airport but you can ride it (assuming you are referring to Jerry Richardson Stadium on the UNC Charlotte campus) from South Charlotte all the way to the UNC Charlotte stop, which will let you off on campus, about 200 yards from the stadium.
clt says an eCu fan riding the light rail would be hilarious, like a turtle driving an f1 car
This ECU fan helped build the extension to UNCC. Civil and rail construction coordination was fun.

Actually rail lines to/from airports are typically the worst return in a city rail system, so I'm thankful the city didn't build that one.
The city of Charlotte has a lot going for it. UNCC just happens to be located near it...

So the fancy city train doesn't connect the world's 6th busiest airport to the downtown area of the nations 16th largest city? Nor does the choo choo connect the airport directly to commuter rail? And it doesn't connect the airport to the fastest growing university in University City? Sheesh. I was under the impression Charlotte was urban and stuff. City Planning fail.
That has zero to do with UNC Charlotte..........there are some idiots running Charlotte city government, no doubt about that.
