REAL fans here, folks! Make no mistake!
Our REAL fans want the coach fired when he is 14-9, and 8-3 his first season which included losing Gainwell, Coxie and having a full month without a game or a regular practice, beat UCF, beat Navy on the road and won a bowl game. Year two, our offensive line was decimated.
Thank God we have geniuses keeping it real for the rest of us.
Yeah its always better to just PRETEND that we really had Gainwell-Coxie- it's always just better to PRETEND we were the only team that covid attacked--it's always better to just PRETEND that we were the only team to beat powerhouses like UCF/Navy---its always just better to PRETEND we were the only team to win a meaningless/practice/exhibition game--its always just better to just PRETEND we were the only team that had injuries ---------------WOW this PRETENDING stuff is really really fun --I see why you live your life doing it on a daily basis
You can keep repeating the same pretending stupidities, but it doesn't change anything.
You can't...
- Name another team that had as many injuries as we did.
- Name another team that didn't have a game or a practice in a month
- Name another team that lost their top running back and wide receiver right before the season and after 2 games respectively
- Name another Memphis coach in the last 32 years that beat UCF
- Name another Memphis coach in our history that beat Navy on the road
- Name another Memphis coach in our entire history, that won a bowl game his first season
- Name another Memphis coach in our entire history, that went 8-3 or better his first year

No excuses this year. I've said it over and over. I'm on the fence about CRS - and this is the year I make up my mind.
It is still no reason for "fans" coming here and getting obvious pleasure out of running down the program. The 3 of you are some of the worst. At least we all know your allegiance lays with Auburn. The other 2 pretend.

You were predicting that we would be complete crap in 2020, boasting about how UCF and everyone else was going to kill us. According to you, 8-3, beating UCF, beating Navy on the road, and winning the bowl game was a failure. Poor old man.

You aren't being fair to the old man and not giving him enough credit. He runs down everything about the university. Ask him what he thinks about the academics, both coaches, facilities, the admin, the AD, the fanbase...literally everything about the school.
Just ask him, he will be happy to tell you how much everything sucks.

RE: Tigers-Middle Tennessee
I know a lot of people have expressed their opinions or concerns about this upcoming year. And I do understand why some have such a negative opinion about how our schedule and results will be less-than-stellar...
But in my opinion, I think we go 8-4 or 9-3. I really think that the things that happened last year - such as Calvin disappearing after two or three games - won't happen this year. I also believe that the new Offensive and Defensive Coordinators are well prepared for what may come this year. (Obviously, the question is whether we can keep them for another year!)
Let's just wait and see what happens. I believe that this years TIGERS will put a hurtin' on several teams!
Just My Opinion...

Mike Norvell Did just as well. Western K was a better team that Florida Atlantic.
The real truth of the matter is, name another coach aside from Norvell and Silverfield that was hired because the previous coach was hired away due to his success. IOW, the cupboard was bare when all the other coaches took over for their first years. And the fact is, Norvell improved markedly from year 1 to year 2, while Silverfield regressed. I HOPE it was just Covid, but that remains to be seen.
One thing's for sure. He lost some games last year neither Norvell nor Fuentezzz would have lost. He is soft when he gets a lead. He almost lost to stAte because of it, and DID lose at least 2 other games because of it.

I foresee a continuing run of fragile fans suffering long-haul sticker shock from an outbreak two years ago. They can't seem to get over that it was rectified and disappeared last year, but are still hiding from it.

You are a bit confused. Norvell never won a bowl game, and never beat UCF and never beat Navy on the road. His second year was good. His third season he had this roster...
NFL
Henderson
Gibson
Pollard
Gainwell
Taylor
Patterson
Austin III
Huff
Claybrooks
Russell
Johnson (projected 6th round 2023)
NOT NFL
White - #1 Passing yards, and touchdowns all time
Coxie - #3 Receptions, receiving yards, touchdown receptions all time
Dykes - #1 tight end receiving yards all time
Magnifico - #2 tight end receiving yards all time
Trevon Tate - CFL
Tim Hart
Jonathan Wilson
John Tate IV
Austin Hall
Mashburn
At least 10 NFL players, and probably at least a couple more got him an 8-6 record and embarassing losses to Navy, Missouri, Tulane, UCF and Wake Forest.

Norvell didn't lose the Cotton Bowl. Ruin was giggling on the sideline while they murdered us. That was the first sign of trouble to come.

Oh I know MN didn’t coach it, but he’s the one who got us to the best bowl in school history

Norvell didn't lose the Cotton Bowl. Ruin was giggling on the sideline while they murdered us. That was the first sign of trouble to come.

A one score game halfway through the 4th quarter and an interception at the goal line trying to cut it to 7 with 5 minutes left. That qualifies as "murdered" by the clown show.
