WVU is the #5 least excited fanbase lol. Hopefully that equates to a big road win for us.

...does this include the OOC schedule?

Until proven otherwise I would put us on the least excited.

Based on the attendance the last 7 or 8 yrs, it's totally fair to say UAB basketball fanbase isn't excited. Hopefully you are correct and that changes this season.

Take a peek at the non conference schedule thread for an example.

Blazertalk is notoriously negative though, I’ve had more coworkers and friends come to me asking me about UAB basketball than in my entire life

It’s not mutually exclusive to be slightly disappointed with the OOC schedule and also extremely excited about our team.

Indeed. I wish we were playing a top-25 type opponent just to see how we stack up. Maybe WVU or South Carolina are pleasant surprises and give us that opportunity. I still like this schedule. Gonna be fun.

*Not a prediction but it's not unthinkable. We need to get in the top 25 and stay there a while. That's the kind of regular season that would get folks in the building.

Hell yeah. I honestly think we are better than any team on our schedule this year. So that definitely means we will go undefeated lol

South Carolina is a confusing team, getting the number one recruit in the country is going to make that interesting but one man can’t win a game

Yes, but they did beat us last year without him, so there's that...

They were a mediocre team, it was an early season game, we didn't play well, they dictated the pace of game and style of play from the first possession of the game, and we were a no-call away on a Jelly shot attempt at the end from winning. IMO we played timid, and kind of choked. I guess it was the early season road game against an SEC team jitters, I don't know...

I know they beat us, but I still don't think they were better than us last year, and we have a better team this year.

All that being said, We SHOULD win this game at home with this team.

I agree on all of those counts, but in the end, we didn't win. And they will be much better this year too.

We were also better than West Virginia, and probably San Francisco, and Rice, and Marshall, and.... It's time to win these games.
