Brady White
Attended a football alumni function Saturday night at the IPF. Got to sit and eat w Brady and I am so happy to have him back. He literally landed Saturday morning coming back from his honeymoon and volunteered to be there Saturday night. One of the most impressive guys on and off the field I have ever met. We are fortunate to have him on staff.

I agree with all of that. He should be a big for the whole offense and especially the QB's. Hopefully he will have some good chemistry with the new OC.

Brady White is one of the smartest QBs ever, he is a great guy an has his masters degree. I have no doubt that he will end up being a very good coach someday. Right now he is a GA , he is not a QB coach , he has a few years before he is the one responsible for the outcome of a game

We're still reaping the benefits of hiring Mike Norvell.

FYI: Not a dig at CRS

Brady is the GOAT imo. How many other QBs won 12 games at Memphis ?

I was being facetious. During a stretch in the 70s-early 80s, quarterbacks would have been lucky to win 12 in their career.

That was the turning point to his season.

Before
3 1/2 Games
55-78 ATT
70.5%
747 Yards
213.4 YPG
9.5 Y/A
5 TD
2 INT
1.4 TD/G

AFTER
10 1/2 Games
214-342
62.6%
3,270 Yards
311.4 YPG
9.6 Y/A
28 TD
9 INT
2.7 TD/PG

He started the Navy game 3-6 for 29 yards and a fumble. After that he was 11-12 for 196 yards, 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions.

Night and day.

He had a really bad ankle injury that was kept somewhat under wraps during that initial period. He didn't fully recover until after the season.

Career wise you can make that claim (for now). On a per game status I would still take Ferguson.

Isn't it weird that someone who only played because he was the coach's babysitter, holds so many school records.

It's possible. Not sure why we can't get carried away on a message board.
But where are the folks who remind us that great players usually don't make great coaches? You aren't one of them (when it comes to Penny), are you?

yeah, folks kept talking about his mobility.
He was never fleet of foot...but he showed some wheels in the Cotton Bowl season, and his last year here when he needed to.
