Anybody watched the Gonzaga game again?
Watched it today…what a great game. Tigers had such a talented squad…up 10 at half. I think we left Duren in too long after he picked up his 3rd foul. Lomax played great. The Nolley “charge” was a killer….can’t wait til this season.

A difficult pill to swallow for sure take care of business sets up an EPIC matchup with the HOGS Imagine the storylines and build up of that.........TH was a gr8 catalyst in that game...although utilized '''slightly'' the pace that he played @ bothered ZAGS tremendously,

I think we left Dandridge in too long, and left Duren on the bench with 4 fouls too long. I agree Dandridge should have played more earlier in the game, but Duren should have played the long late stretch. Penny took Duren out of the game, let him foul out then play Dandridge late. I don't think Dandridge has the condition/ability to play long stretches. I think the first time Dandridge isn't able to get back on defense a timeout should have been called and literally put anyone else in to cover the 5. We had all the pieces to win that game, just think they weren't played properly late in the game.

The whole point should have been moot. Both Holmgren and headband should have fouled out and Duren and Dandridge should have had a couple of fouls each. Highway robbery, we beat them fair and square.

Going into halftime up, I knew the fouls were going to lopsided going into the second half. Let Dandridge either start the second half, or put him in around the 15-13 minute mark for 5 minutes, then play Duren until he fouls out. Make the refs bench him. 22% from 3 pt land killed us more than anything. Had we shot 33ish % or more we win that game, even with the foul disparity.

Tactically, the game was coached perfectly or close to it. The game turned literally in the first minute of the second half, when both Holmgren and headband got away with blatant fouls and and the first 6 of the half were called on us. In a physical game, Gonzaga managed to not get called for a foul in 12 and a half minutes.

It was definitely wildly inconsistent with the refs. It also hurt the Timmee got red hot to start the second half, he made everything he shot for the first 10 minutes or so.

We didn't defend Nembhard very well. I think he was as much a difference maker as Timme.

Turnaround, fadeaway 18-footer over Jalen Duren. I guess he could have banked it in, would've made it a little more difficult.

Still, I'll take some of Timme's ridiculous shots that were well defended versus the 3 wide open 3's we gave up to Nembhard.

But it wasn't
But they didn't
But they didn't
But we didn't
When I look back on this game --I PRETEND we won by 28--then I feel better

They were playing extremely aggressive defense and not being called. We were backing away from headband with our arms straight up to make sure we didn't accidently put a fingernail on him, and still having fouls called on us.
