This is another(though not nearly as lucrative) betting opportunity as Vegas has their win total set at 6.5

If the OOC goes 3-1 you can book 10 wins. As I mentioned earlier, the conf schedule sets up perfectly for 6-2 or 7-1. They get both division challengers ToL & CMU at home along with top East opponent Miami. The road games are almost a lock. Go 2-1 vs Tol, CMU and Mia and 7-1 is likely.

No offense HFF but would have preferred just regular season.

That being said my 11 reflects 10-2 regular and winning MACC and losing bowl because it’s tradition. Which ain’t too terrible. I think we beat Tulsa and Vanderbilt and play Kentucky tough but lose. We dominate Conference but lose to somebody because we’re human. Not sure who but probably a road game.

Tough call..... could go as low as 8,9..8-4 regular with Bowl win. Have to remember we are the biggest game of the year for EVERY MAC team. We are hated. They ALL have been preparing for us this off season. They cant quite figure out how we win, just that they feel they are better than us and should have beat us last year. Phenomenal coaching job last year by Hams and staff.

CMU still owns our D....Ball St cant figure out how they stole the ball (+2 TO) got a safety and still loss. EMU will be improved. Hell - we're going to be better. Hammock was right, we won with a flawed team last year. Ham has these guys trained to compete and win.

Toledo biggest games:
#1 Ohio St, probably will be #2 in the nation. CJ Stroud will be tough to defend.
#2 CMU- first MAC game of the season, Toledo homecoming
right after road games at OSU and San Diego St. Lew Nichols
makes the Chips a tougher out. The next weekend Rockets will be in DeKalb.

What no 15 option for making the NCG after Kentucky and Vandy finish 1 and 1A in the SEC??

This team should be a TD better than last year but the ball takes funny bounces that mostly went the Huskies’ way. I say a Kentucky loss and a random MAC upset, split the postseason games. 11-3

College Football News has us finishing 7-5 with losses to Tulsa, Vandy, Kentucky, Toledo and Eastern MI. They predict we will start 2-5 for the season and end the season at 95 in the country.

CFN underrates us to a criminal level every year. They obviously do no homework at all.

This team wins 10 games at a minimum.

I too am optimistic, BUT only if Lombardi stays healthy and plays in all the games! Otherwise, we don't know how deep the hole may be.

If any team is set up to absorb the loss of their QB-1 it’s this squad. Rocky brings a lot of great intangibles but he does only throw for 1 td a game. As long as NIU can avoid a shoot out like Wyoming or CC, I think they can perform very well with whom ever is #2. Lynch has plenty of game experience if it’s him, that’s nice to know.

He's listed as a sophomore on the roster so I'm assuming his petition to red shirt last year (as if I could figure out how he was going to convince anyone that was a red shirt year...) didn't get accepted.

8-5 or 9-4 with an overdue bowl win.

A lot of things fell into place last year, won a lot of close ones. Wont sneak up on anyone and I think KY and Tulsa are going to be rough start.

I hope they do Redshirt him but I think the situation if any will dictate that decision. Also how much they believe in Lomax. But if they’re in any position to win the west/MAC I think you go with Lynch IF he is your best solution. Hopefully the back ups get some game reps early in the season.
