No CID, we’re not deserving of out of the box thinking that might propel EMU athletics forward. We only get the crumbs - NOT! We need more Chris Creighton’s on our athletic administration team - he could make this happen!!!

Luckey, one has to work priorities from #1 to N.

#1 is the outdoor track.

#2 is probably the indoor track and that ain't cheap..

There are items on there which may not be finished until 2050.

Wifi and 5G updates were confirmed in an email from EMU Athletics today:

"When you return to the George Gervin GameAbove Center, you will see and feel noticeable improvements to the gameday experience including Wi-Fi installation and upgraded 5G service throughout the arena. You will also see that the videoboard upgrades will be completed to make the in-game experience even better for all fans in attendance."

Interesting that Scott Wetherbee said in his interview with Brian Dooley that he has been fundraising and hopes the track will be removed in a year to 18 months.

Dear steve,
If those are field level, one will not really see any action that is worth it. In my opinion, they will be ripping off the users. Of what are they going to be made? Eastern will be the laughing stock of the MAC.

If the play is near the south end of the field then that vantage point is kinda cool. If it's at the north end you can watch the video board. It's not quite as bad as it could be.

Long term, some bleachers there would be better.

Here is their seating diagram showing what appears similar to be new seating on both sides and one endzone.
