NIL restrictions
Are there any? I'm waiting for FedEx to decide to buy Memphis a #1 recruiting class and watch the "Super League" cry foul. Just call up all their recruits and tell them...name your price, we have an unlimited checkbook.

Stealing recruits would be another thing entirely.

I believe if we ever get in the so-called power5tier1/2---the recruits will be here----a lot of those we lose to the sec--will start staying home

Other than trying to use it to directly pay/entice recruits, not really. And even that can be worked around by paying all of the athletes currently on the team and making a public announcement about it like some other schools have. That way the recruits see that if they come here, or wherever, they can get paid.

NIL cannot be used to entice a player to attend a school.

How would you prove that ir was unless a player just admits that X school won the bidding war? That is what this is down to and everyone knows it but you can't PROVE it.

Exactly and who is policing that?

My question is how would you police it?

Are NIL reps allowed to talk to any high school athlete whether or not they have signed with the school the NIL supports?

I would think NILs don't necessarily have to be officially tied to a particular college either - just pay a kid to pimp whatever you are selling... So, if a kid from Memphis goes to Alabama a Memphis based NIL could still pay him to shoot a commercial for a Memphis business, right?

Money is going to be flying everywhere. I predict that high school junior and senior football and boy's basketball players are going to start cashing in too. Just commit to UT early and start getting paid.

Eventually someone will try to regulate it but a well placed lawsuit or two will squash that.

Not even sure the conferences will be able to self regulate as anything that could negatively impact a player's right to make money can be legally challenged...
