A couple of points:
- Memphis gets the "top spot" because they are alone at 1-0 in the Conference standings. It is what it is.
-I tried to preserve the standings from the previous week, where it seemed applicable. So 2-0 teams are ranked above 1-1 teams, etc...
-Houston suffered a very close loss...on the road...to FBS Texas Tech. That does place them, in my reckoning, above teams that won against lower-division FCS programs...at home. UCF, on the other hand, lost to FBS Louisville...AT HOME...in a more decisive fashion. In my reckoning, that hurt them more.
-These are my own, personal opinion. As Conference play begins, obviously, the standings will clear themselves up.
